My Johnson is about to expire

Guess I forgot to fill the tanks with gas before I left the dock.

2. 'ey! Are you calling me an oar, mate?
And, yes, my Johnson's a four-stroke. We don't want that two-stroke fooling around.

Props to you!

10. It's not the size, but the horsepower
(definitely no reference to that recent Catherine the Great thread intended)

19. You're opting for row? I guess there're really only two choices when
it coes down to it: row versus wade.

6. What are you pushing with that Johnson?
Four-stroke outboards are great, aren't they? No mixing oil with fuel, no making sure the damn VRO tank is full, no blue haze...what's not to like?

15. Some have a longer life than others
And you can always rebore them if you really have to. Corrosion's always a problem, especially when they're used primarily in extremely humid, salty condiitons.

It's easy to run the lower part aground, too: never a fun experience.

16. Yep, though it's still no fun to run out of juice
Sometimes it's hard to tell, for sure, how much you need to pump.

26. I'm sure the juice is in there
Perhaps it's just been left empty for too long and it's feeling drained? Somehow it still needs a recharging. Besides, we all need a good pump every once in awhile.

8. Well if you would keep in the water and off the wet land at the bottom
that would help it's lifespan a lot.

27. Don't put a drag on your Johnson, it'll burn out. Let it cool down...
before you take it out again. In the water!
