I first posted these on a Saturday night - but I just wanted to share them again with all of you because they are such adorable cats!!!

Presenting Abbott and Evita!!!

Here's Abbie and I just love this picture. He's in his "I'm going to catch those rogue cat toys" pounce position!!




This is Evita. She hates being held which and wasn't very friendly for picture posing, which is why she has the look of terror on her face. I'm going to try again for better pictures of these guys

Edit Note: I hope the FCC doesn't crack down on DU because of Evita's picture. She was fixed about a month ago and I noticed her naked breast is exposed on that photo. I don't want to be corrupting anyone with such a sight!!

I have a weakness for gray cats. The smartest one I ever had (and I've had dozens!!!) was my Galatea. I wish I couly post pics of my gorgeous quintet.

I'm sure Evita isn't as "psycho" as she appears; when you get some candid shots of her I'm sure the full measure of her cuteness will show.

A friend of mine has a cat named Simon who looks exactly like Abbott. If Abbott's personality is anything like Simon's, you should be happy!

11. Since we are sharing,

Vanessa is the mostly-white lady -- she is a "Vanalike," that is, has the breed characteristics of a Turkish Van but no paper. The dark krazykat is Snowdra. Snowdra is a Norwegian Forest Cat, papers and all, but a runt -- too shortcoupled to be show quality. Which is cool because otherwise we would not have her.

My Darlin' Companion tells me that Snowdra was a minor Norse goddess.

I love the fur - how do you keep it so shiny? I need to work on Evita's fur. I think she has some type of purebread in her, but basically she's a beautiful mutt

pretty much takes care of her own fur -- with an occasional brush job. Oddly, it is the silky Vanessa whose fur is a constant problem!

Evita is a silky hair cat and I'd like to make her fur look prettier

40. The best I can do is try

not to breath too much of it! 'Nessa (six years old) is a contented lapcat most of the time, but does not like being brushed -- and it doesn't do much good, either. She is pretty -- I think it is in the genes. (Vans were bred for the silky white fur by Turks who also created the Angora -- and they were way frustrated that they could not get rid of the dark spots. This is a remarkably stable genetic complex that seems to have "escaped" into the alleycat population and pops up now and then. Thus "vanalikes." 'Nessa's brother was quite different). So, I'm afraid I can't help with making a silky kitty look good, except to say to feed them a good, cat-balanced diet.

I love the way a cat looks when it's about to pounce.

Mine are receovering from moving this weekend. Since the new place isn't yet completely unpacked, they are quite skiddish about the place. They seem to want to spend their time in my bedroom, which I guess makes sense since my quilt smells like them and makes them feel comforted.
