Need A Decent, Low Cost Web Host
Mine (Atlantishosts.com) is low cost ($1.99 a month!), but goes down several times a month, and I'm freaking sick of it.

Got any suggestions?

1. I use spiralhost
I forget the price, but it is around $6 a month -- good space and bandwidth + they assure 100% uptime.

2. hostica.com
I use hostica.com, which has a $12/YEAR plan with 10MB storage, 500MB/month bandwidth.

I should note that the storage includes email, so it's not as big as it seems, and that I'm lately easily exceeding 1.5GB/month what with anti-Bush photoshops, so I may or may not be in the market for a change in hosts.

That said, hostica's got pretty good uptime (I notice downtimes of about once every six months for at most a few hours) and responsive tech support (replies within a few hours, during business hours).

4. Every ultra-low cost host
winds up being crap eventually, even if their intentions are pure. We're still not at a place where $2 a month is a price point that can make a reliable host a business and not a charity. However, costs have come down quite a bit in the past few years, and if you're willing to pony up $10 a month (and your bandwidth needs aren't stratospheric) you can get dependable service from solid workhorses like Pair and MediaTemple.
