Edited on Sat May-01-04 08:14 AM by mouse7
I think I'll put my money on...

1) The Cliff's Edge
2) Imperialism
3) Action This Day

And since I don't have a penny on it, I'll probably nail it.

6. Friends Lake
Edited on Sat May-01-04 07:47 AM by trumad
foloowed by Lions Heart and then Smarty Jones.. MHOP

BTW: Friends Lake won the Florida Derby at 37-1 and hasn't raced in 7 weeks... He'll probably be at 10-1 today which will turn my 20 buck bet into a $220.00 win... Me's hopes!

7. *smack* Put away that damn racing form
Edited on Sat May-01-04 07:56 AM by mouse7
Besides, racing forms have been pretty useless of late in determining Derby winners. Longshots winning regularly recently. Seems like they can't really get a handle on the quality of the horses until they actually see them run in the Derby. They're far more accurate in the 2nd in third legs of the Triple Crown.

Smarty Jones- my last name is jones and i am smart.
Master David- for my friend david he should master something.
Song of the Sword- screams 14th century hero to me.

16. Early picks
which could change after watching them saddle and warm up:

Top 3, in any order:

Tapit
Lionheart
Friends Lake

Also like:

Borrego
Smarty Jones,

and even though I don't think today is his day, Birdstone.

I don't know if I'll be home to catch the race.

that no matter which horse wins...they are all beautiful animals. :)

I think Imperialism is just gorgeous. I'm pulling for him and also for Pollard's Vision because he's blind in one eye like my dad. :)
