This is a discussion forum, not an English class. I see nothing wrong with correcting someone politely if one feels the need.

5. Using a sentence fragment for emphasis

is more than acceptable. If that fragment had not made sense in context, then it would have been wrong. But to blindly follow rigid rules -- no sentence fragments and never end a sentence with a preposition are two that when blindly enforced lead to boring and awkward writing at times.
