Update on feline friend: Ralph is gone
My next door neighbors' old orange Tabby, who I posted about yesterday, just passed away.

He snuck away during the night, but was found around the corner under some bushes. He was brought home and enjoyed the last couple hours of his life laying on a towel out in his yard, enjoying some of the best weather this year, with his Mom right near him.

This cat was something else. Last year, he started wandering. To one particular house. He'd take off every evening and go about three blocks away and hang out at this one particular house. Turns out the house was later busted for being a "drug" house. It was a bunch of young guys who partied (a little too hard) all night long. Ralph loved it there. We teased him all the time about his crack habit.

He was an utterly sweet cat - even though he was deaf and infirm, he still LOVED being held like a baby and would just purr away for as long as you'd hold him.

So long, Ralph. You'll be missed.

5. Thanks...
he wasn't my cat, but my neighbors. However, he spent LOTS of time over here and he was my buddy.

7. Here's to you Ralph
along with the loss of your companionship is the fact that

you also would have been a better leader than the one at 1600 now.

We'll give your regards to Broadway & remember you to Hearld square

and all the gang at 42nd street will be sad to know that they should

not wait up fur you.

Good thoughts of better times to those who called you friend "Ralph"

9. I'm so very sorry, Dookus -- these little guys do get to us...
Sometimes they're such a pain in the a**, but life without their company and unconditional love would be unthinkable.

I'm glad to hear that Ralph was able to go out gently, and in good style.

Best to you --

10. Hey Dookus
Sorry he went, but happy he went out in the sunshine, just like you wanted. Maybe he can look up my Angus in kitty heaven - big black and white - and they can have a toke together.

13. I'm glad his last hour was peaceful
it sounds as if his passing was pretty easy for an old fellow.

May he live on forever in your memory. RIP, old tom.
