What a last few days, hell ask me anything
Edited on Tue Apr-27-04 01:45 PM by JohnKleeb
First off, sunday was great, it was nice meeting everyone who I met for the first time. I told some teachers that I went and they were pleased and there were some other students down there. Second off, found out today that one of the recently dead soldiers went to my HS, he was the first coast guardsman killed since Vietnam. Not only that, afterwards I had a strange urge to enlist no not for revenge but I dunno, I cant explain it. Yes, I am strange. Sorry I havent been on as much, my computer is screwed up so I have to use my brother's which sucks.

4. no I didnt, since I dont live in DC
I dont wanna fight the damn war, but its hard to explain why I felt like it, that is enlistment, it would be simliar to the reason Gore did, he opposed the war in Vietnam but signed up so in his words another boy in Carthedge, TN wouldnt have to go, and that would be simliar to my motive if I went which I wont. I hate guns for christ sake and I dont wanna be in the military. I heard about the IMF protest tho.

5. Don't go, JohnKleeb.
As you know, I have a son exactly your age, and I'm terrified that he's thinking of enlisting. I don't know how to get through to him how wrong this war is, how every single dead American soldier (and every single dead Iraqi) is an utter waste. There is no glory, no greater purpose here.

Don't go. Your mother (and father) couldn't bear to lose you. Trust me.
