Am I alone, or does anyone else hate Krispy Kreme doughnuts?
While I don't eat many doughnuts, I can't even eat a half of a KK without getting sick, especially the god-awful glazed ones. Might as well just cover a block of sugar with Karo syrup.

Bleah.

On the other hand, there is the unbridled joy that is the Entenmann Raspberry Danish...

23. I'm with you. KKs are not all that.
KKs are great if you get them the minute after they leave the oven. Beyond that, they're just ordinary donuts with way too much glaze. Give me a plain cake Dunkin' Donut any time.

8. They are the worst. Even worse they pushed out a Dunkin Donuts.
I live in Monroeville, PA. I used to stop for coffee and a donut or bagel almost every day. The Dunkin Donuts closed in fear of the opening of the Krispy Kreme. Their coffee sucks. Their donuts suck.
On the other hand, I've lost ten pounds. Grrr.

How could you? I'm sitting here happily typing and reading and you mentioned my favorite pastry in all the world.

I have none in the house and my evening is ruined.

Thanks a lot!!!!!!!!!!

and Donut Palace is better also. I love Dunkin Donut coffee. The nearest one is 65 miles away but often I make the trip.

I eat them occasionally, but they are not satisfying.

Used to really like Big Bear's donuts, but they closed.
Must find a good source of d'oh-nuts. Mmmmmmm, donuts.

And your suggestion of Entenmann's Raspberry Danish--
thanks, I think. Now I have a craving for them.

26. I wish ya'll would stop it with all the donut talk every single day of my
freakin' life. There must 8-10 non-corporate donut shops around me here in Pasadena. I manage to pass 'em by just fine, but then I start reading this stuff and feel myself weakening.

Luckily there are other diversions: I had an avacodo milkshake from a vietnamese restaurant today. Yum.

30. I find them sickeningly sweet
and greasy, but then, my tolerance for sweets (except chocolate) is definitely lower than it was before I started eating low carb.

I tried one, and now I can say, "Been there, done that, don't need to again."

32. Too much Fat, too much Sugar, too much HYPE.
I would rather have a Village Pantry donut. And the fact that I used to make love to the donut maker has nothing to do with that.

They were good donuts, and cheap, too!

33. Hate them. I can't think of any other junk food I have eaten
half of and thrown the rest of in the trash (1/2 the remaining donut, not the rest of the box). Tasted like motor oil and sugar, yuck... and I *love* donuts. I ate one and seriously contemplated shorting the KK stock - didn't bc I realized that almost everyone else I knew seemed to like them.

34. I have never had a KK doughnut.
When I left the DFW area they had just opened a KK in Arlington. The lines were reported to be over a mile long. Doughnuts are good but they aren't 'waitint in a mile long line' good.

I've always had a fond spot in my heart for Shipley's donuts, probably because when I lived in Houston a friend of mine owned one of their franchises. She'd drop a box off at my office periodically and they'd still be warm...yummy!

I also like Dunkin Donuts. There's not a decent donut shop within 30 miles of me now so I don't eat any donuts! The donut shops here in town and in the nearest bigger town all taste like they haven't changed the grease for several years. Blech!
