What annoys the hell outta you?
Y'know what annoys the hell outta me? Vibrato that is so damned wide that the singer is completely off key. Worse than nails on a chalkboard.

Your turn.

16. Agreed, and what gets me is when such an idiot says
that one thing that everyone has heard five hundred times, but is the only thing he is capable of adding to the conversation. True or false, these things are so often repeated that if they're the only thing you can say, you need to STFU. Examples:

"If 10% is good enough for God, it should be good enough for the gubmint"

"The rich get richer, the poor get poorer"

"Nixon didn't do anything different than anyone else, he just got caught"

Blah, blah, blah...I'm tired of hearing these in any case, but they're particularly annoying from someone who makes cliches like these the only thing they add to the conversation

32. People who constantly interrupt me...
...when I'm speaking. I have stopped being friends with a few people over this. Some people are so bad it's as though they don't even register the fact that you are speaking. They just dive right in and talk over you. And I don't mean when I'm being long-winded either. I know--or rather, KNEW--some people who would only let me get out about a half dozen words before they'd interrupt. I no longer speak to any of those people.

*People who allow their cell phones to ring in church, lecture halls, etc.

*People who wear headphones but have their music on so loud that you can hear the crappy music all the way down at the other end of the subway car.

*Anything George W. Bush says or does.

*Listening to anyone pronounce the word nuclear as "nuke-yuh-lurr" and coupon as "kyew-pon." :puke:

*TV ads for the GOP, except the Log Cabin Republicans.

*People who smile inappropriately while delivering horrible news, saying something hurtful, or asking an overly personal question. Pat Robertson does this. I also have at least one co-worker who does it. It's very creepy.

*A co-worker who cannot refer to anyone Irish without going into her little Lucky Charms spiel. The first eight times she did this, I thought it was immature and rather small-minded. Now it's just grotesque. By the way, she is 46 years old and still doing this.

Yeah, I LIVE in a perpetual state of being annoyed.

45. People who walk diagonally across a parking lot
Or four abreast along a narrow street, refusing to move over to one side to allow cars (or, in some cases, faster-moving pedestrians) to pass.

When I worked retail, my biggest peeve was when little kids made a mess, their parents would say, "Oh, don't worry about that, the lady will take care of it."

As though the lady is their personal servant, and good manners don't matter as long as there's the lady. When I was a kid, if I knocked something off the rack, my parents expected me to put it back. If I accidentally made a mess that I couldn't fix -- like the whole rack came apart, or I broke a pickle jar or something -- I was at least supposed to tell someone and apologize profusely.

In H.S. I had a friend who use to answer that question, "No thanks, I'm just shoplifting.". I can't bring myself to say that. I do avoid stores in the mall where I do not see any other customers and the salespeople are standing outside the store waiting.

And it is ALWAYS - and I mean ALWAYS - someone with a God Bless America or Bush/Cheney bumpersticker. Some combine multiple offenses:
1. They have several separate orders
2. They want some of the orders custom-made
3. They have coupons
4. They pay with a check or credit card
5. They ask a lot of questions when they are ordering
6. They get to the window to pick up their food and place another order they forgot
7. They sit there in line and start handing stuff back instead of taking their issues inside
8. They turn around and ask their kids what they want when they are sitting at the window

It's the fucking drive-thru. It really, really annoys me.

69. People that block doorways/accessways while conversing.
At work the other night I had a patient in a wheelchair that I was taking to the physical therapy room and two women were in the doorway yakking it up and not moving for me at all. They saw me with the patient but didnt budge and kept up the conversation. I had to say "Excuse Me" twice before they moved, giving me a dirty look.

72. Tailgaters! ARRRRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I would like to invent an EMP "gun" that you could aim at the car behind you and ZAP!!!! All their electronics shut down! As it is, on the bike, I have my "tailgaters rock" - amazing how quick a large rock in the hands of a leather-clad biker will make 'em back off!!

73. Soulless people
In every form. People who put greed ahead of human life or the environment. People who are so shallow, they can't see beyond that of their own simplicity.
