So I am now a Gallup poll panel member, ask me anything

Got called by the Gallup people, answered a few questions, and they asked me if I wanted to be a panel member. I said sure, why not.

Ironically, it's the first time I have ever been called by any pollster whatsoever.

I guess b'cuz I live in a pivotal region (Central) of a pivotal State (Florida).
I get an 8-10 page campaign poll every two weeks from them.

3. Were you just randomly selected?

I wanted be a member. I got called once by Nielsen. Another time I had to do a one-week diary of the shows I watched for the Nielsen people and another I had to do this cool phone s urvey about the type of alcohol I drank.

Before I agreed to answer their questions, I asked how they got my number, and they said it was at random

but i was waiting for a phonecall about some computers i was building.. pissed me off that i had to hang up.
