Cdn Election Update - Early Election Result Prediction

I've done an analysis of Canada's 301 ridings for the election project. I've taken the results of three opinion polls from December - Ipsos-Reid, JMCK and Leger, and compared with the 2000, 1997 and 1993 elections. I'm not claiming this to be entirely scientific, this is a very early guess, but it's what came out the other end. As a sidenote, I will say that I tried to be as non-partisan as possible with the figures, if I was being partisan, there'd be about 15 more seats in the NDP column, and 15 less in the CPC one. One thing to take into consideration is that this is a prediction before I know who the candidates are, and who is retiring. Just consider this early prediction a benchmark for more accurate guesses closer to the election.

I did not know the Liberals were so dominate. Can you tell us when the elections will come and what triggers them- are they scheduled or do events trigger an election?

2. The Government selects the election date. I have it on good information

that the date will be May 10th 2004
