How did the Traditional Values Coalition get my work email address??!!
I am so ticked off right now...for some reason I got an unsolicited email from the Traditional Values Coalition at my work email address. Something promoting a constitutional amendment to ban gay marraige.

I don't give my work email address to anyone except my DSL provider. I don't think they gave my email address to anyone - I think this is probably more nefarious than that.

Maybe someone at work did this after seeing my Dean pin or my DU cap and wanted to get revenge on me...but maybe some of you had the same thing happen to you?

2. I did go there a long time ago to check out an anti-Arnold ad by them.
Someone posted something about it here; this was back when we were hoping McClintock would split the Republican vote and cause Schwarzenegger to lose. I wonder what cookie they read though...like I said, the only place that has my work email address is my DSL provider, and they're pretty obscure.

Maybe when I get home I'll write them a letter about the hypocrisy of doing something like this.

3. it probably wasnt your provider
so i wouldnt bust their balls. if it was your provider you would get a whole stream of trash, and it would be business oriented, not political. probably your work, i would say, somebody trying to convert you to the Dahk side of the Force. could be a cookie too, but again, you'd get streams of business oriented bullshit. no, my friend, your enemies hide in the shadows around you.

5. Relax, I've received their spam at my work email in the past
I think they are fairly unsophisticated about marketing and have either bought a very untargeted mailing list or are harvesting emails off of company web pages. In any event, it's not very effective.
