Poll question: What is your favorite Bush In 30 Seconds ad.
Edited on Tue Jan-06-04 04:37 PM by lfairban
Our poll system only allows 10 alternatives, so I had to cut six because I needed an "other" slot.

See them at:
http://www.bushin30seconds.org/

I used the comments in the "Best "Bush In 30 Seconds" ad (moveon.org)" thread as a guide as to which adds to list.

1. Hitler=Bush

But only because it's getting the comparison and the RW hypocrisy out there for all to see. Otherwise I voted for Polygraph.

3. I voted for Leave No Billionaire Behind...BUT...
I was disappointed I didn't see the "Imagine a World.." clip.

These two clips, to me, said the most.

I personally think the Billionaire clip should be broadcast all over the U.S. ..it is a perfect little clip that should remind everyone of who Bush's real constituency is.

5. It was a three way tie!
Child's Pay, Leave no Billionare Behind, and What are we teaching our Children?

They all really hit home.

The RNC is scared of the ads...they know they will do damage. The Hitler ad nonsense was a desperate first strike attempt to preempt their effectiveness. It won't work.

My favorite of the finalists is the "repair shop".
I think being entertaining is important to be
memorable .

10. For me,
Child's Play
In My Country
and What Are We Teaching Our Children

were the best ones, though every add had it's high points.

11. You left off "Hood Robbin"
It is the best in terms of it's meme power. It creates a character that could become a memorable anti-Bush mascot. I like the idea of a robbing little sneaky guy in leotards and a Bush mask. People will remember that.

The ad needs better production values, but the idea is great!

16. I agree

I also liked some cartoon themed ads but it appears none made it to the finals. hopefully they'll post all the ads for viewing at some point... A lot of work that won't be seen by most since people could only view 20 ads a day in the lead-up.

It's concise, hits the nail on the head, and is relatively powerful.

More than that though, it touches on more than just one issue, which I think is important because if only one ad gets actual airplay then I think it should incorporate more than just one idea.

14. That's a difficult choice!
I have to sleep on it. Just wanted to kick this up to encourage people who haven't seen them to look at them. Quite a few are masterpieces, and they're all worth watching. I hate to think of all the hundreds I didn't see that missed the final cut!
