Help me respond to this e-mail on the Clintons!!!
I got this today. Please help me respond to this flaming e-mail! I cant stand this repub brain washing. Your thoughts, comments, or a complete rebuttle would be great!

Dear Mr. Ex President Clinton:

I recently saw a bumper sticker that said, "Thank me, I voted for Clinton-Gore." So, I sat down and reflected on that, and I am sending my "Thank you" for what you have done, specifically:

1. Thank you for introducing us to Jennifer Flowers, Paula Jones, Monica Lewinsky, Dolly Kyle Browning, Kathleen Willey, and Juanita Broderick. Did I leave anyone out?

2. Thank you for teaching my 8 year old about oral sex. I had really planned to wait until he was a little older to discuss it with him, but now he knows more about it than I did as a senior in college.

3. Thank you for showing us that sexual harassment in the work place (especially the White House) and on the job is OK, and all you have to know is what the meaning of "is" is. It really is great to know that certain sexual acts are not sex, and one person may have sex while the other one does NOT have sex.

4. Thank you for reintroducing the concept of impeachment to a new generation and demonstrating that the ridiculous plot of the movie "Wag the Dog" could be plausible after all.

5. Thanks for making Jimmy Carter look competent, Gerald Ford look graceful, Richard Nixon look honest, Lyndon Johnson look truthful, and John Kennedy look moral.

6. Thank you for the 73 House and Senate witnesses who have pled the 5th Amendment and 17 witnesses who have fled the country to avoid testifying about Democratic campaign fund raising.

7. Thank you, for the 19 charges, 8 convictions, and 4 imprisonment's from the Whitewater "mess" and the 55 criminal charges and 32 criminal convictions (so far) in the other "Clinton" scandals.

8. Thanks also for reducing our military by half, "gutting" much of our foreign policy, and flying all over the world on "vacations" carefully disguised as necessary trips.

9. Thank you, also, for "finding" millions of dollars (I really didn't need it in the first place, and I can't think of a more deserving group of recipients for my hard-earned tax dollars) for all of your globe-trotting. I understand you, the family and your cronies have logged in more time aboard Air Force One than any other administration.

10. Now that you've left the White House, thanks for the 140 pardons of convicted felons and indicted felons-in-exile. We will love to have them rejoin society. (Not to mention the scores you pardoned while Governor of Arkansas)

11. Thanks also for removing the White House silverware. I'm sure that Laura Bush didn't like the pattern anyway. Also, enjoy the housewarming gifts you've received from your "friends."

12. Thanks to you and your staff in the West Wing of the White House for vandalizing and destroying government property on the way out. I also appreciate removing all of that excess weight (China, silverware, linen, towels, ash trays, soap, pens, magnetic compass, flight manuals, etc.) out of Air Force 1. The weight savings means burning less fuel, thus less tax dollars spent on jet fuel. Thank you!

13. And finally, please ensure that Hillary enjoys the $8 million dollar advance for her upcoming "tell-all" book and you, Bill, the $10 million advance for your memoirs. Who says crime doesn't pay!

14. The last and most important point - thank you for forcing Israel to let Mohammed Atta go free. Terrorist pilot Mohammed Atta blew up a bus in Israel in 1986. The Israelis captured, tried and imprisoned him. As part of the Oslo agreement with the Palestinians in 1993, Israel had to agree to release so-called "political prisoners". However, the Israelis would not release any with blood on their hands. The American President at the time, Bill Clinton, and his Secretary of State, Warren Christopher, "insisted" that all prisoners be released. Thus Mohammed Atta was freed and eventually thanked the US by flying an airplane into Tower One of the World Trade Center. This was reported by many of the American TV networks at the time that the terrorists were first identified. It was censored in the US from all later reports. Why shouldn't Americans know the real truth?

What a guy!!

If you agree that the American public must be made aware of these facts, pass this on. God bless America and THANK YOU (once again) for spending my taxes so wisely and frugally.

SINCERELY,
A US Citizen

PS. Please pass along a special thank you to Al Gore for "inventing" the Internet, without which I would not be able to send this wonderful, factual e-mail.

AND THE REST OF THE STORY
Hillary Rodham Clinton, as a New York State Senator, now comes under the "Congressional Retirement and Staffing Plan," which means that even if she never gets reelected, she STILL receives her Congressional salary until she dies. (Would it not be nice if all Americans were pension eligible after only 4 years?)

If Bill outlives her, he then inherits HER salary until HE dies. He is already getting his Presidential salary until he dies. If Hillary outlives Bill, she also gets HIS salary until she dies. Guess who pays for that?

WE DO!

It's common knowledge that in order for her to establish NY residency, they purchased a million dollar-plus house in upscale Chappaqua, New York. Makes sense. They are entitled to Secret Service protection for life. Still makes sense.

Here is where it becomes interesting. Their mortgage payments hover at around $10,000 per month. BUT, an extra residence HAD to be built within the acreage to house the Secret Service agents.

The Clintons charge the Federal government $10,000 monthly rent for the use of that extra residence, which is just about equal to their mortg age payment. This means that we, the taxpayers, are paying the Clinton's salary, mortgage, transportation, safety and security, as well as the salaries for their 12 man staff -- and, this is all perfectly legal!

When she runs for President, will you vote for her?

How many people can YOU send this to?

15. you have to respond
These emails are so common that they start to sink in with people after a while... it's how the Reich Wing brainwashes the masses.

Respond, then send the similar truthful emails about Reagan & Bush. I know they are out there...I've seen them on DU and I've only been here for 3 months.

I also believe the Federal Election Committee cleared Clinton of any wrongdoing in regards to the Mark Rich pardon.

Lies to bring us to war
$150Bil spent-enough to cover all state deficits

...Also send out the Bush Resume. It's fabulous. Do a search and you'll find it. But wait til it's closer to election time.

31. YES. Respond. I did and the person who kept sending me this kind
of crap stopped doing it. She'd sent me a few things, mostly about jamming one distinctive belief system down the throats of our schools, but then it got more overt about Clinton. It was an email similar to yours. It was slugged "Food for Thought." So I sent back a commentary from Sister Joan Chittister, writing last year in the National Catholic Reporter. I believe it was called "Is there Anything Left that Matters?" I slugged mine "Even MORE Food for Thought." I'm sorry, I don't have a link, but you can google National Catholic Reporter and look for Sister Joan's op/ed pieces. This one was quite wonderful.

I sent it to EVERYBODY on her list, including all the email addresses of whoever originally sent it to her. I got one angry response from someone who shared her last name - either sibling or cousin, who didn't reveal enough additional detail for me to discern if the sender was even male or female. We argued back and forth for a couple of rounds and then I finally let it drop. But nobody else piled on me. And to this day, the sender of the annoying email has only sent me jokes.

I did it again when somebody sent me an anti-Clinton email similar to this one. I responded back, in mass emailings as above, with "George Bush's Resume."

I do NOT get any more crap, knuckle-dragger, Clinton-hater emails. And I think it's because I fought back.

33. Why waste the time?
At most, point out to them where they can get the truth. It is not OUR responsibility to spoon-feed them the truth. The most we should do is be emphatic that they are wrong and point them in a direction where the truth can be found. That's it, IMO. We to easily scurry off trying to disprove ever inane RW comment...like we're their little gophers...well fuck that!

36. the point is
This is how the Reich Wing marginalizes all the Democratic & Clinton accomplishments - when a normally open-minded friend of mine starts spouting Republican talking points when he rarely watches, listens to or reads the news, I get worried.

I am guessing most Americans still think the offer to Clinton from Sudan to turn over bin Laden was legit and that it was the same Mohammed Atta that was let go... if you don't respond, it takes on the aura of truth. We need to wake the people up.

21. I was thinking the same thing...
If you read Al Franken's book he talks about the outright falseness of the "trashing of the White House" as well as many other falsities.

I strongly recommend this book to everyone who wants a kernal of truth over propaganda. He trashes Ann Coulter which in and of itself is a great reason to buy the book.

10. Items 1-3 were courtesy of the VRWC attack machine. We didn't ask for them
Item 4 we can thank the G(roup)O(f)P(igs) thug Congress led by Gingrich -- who had to step aside due to his own extramarital infidelities.

IMO, they meant to make impeachments look tawdry so it couldn't be used against them in the future. Same with Kenneth Starr, so we would never want an Independent Prosecutor again.

11. This arm of the Bushevik Nazi-style propaganda is genuinely frightening
The Busheviks clearly have a dissemination list for these lying e-mails that keeps them literally in circulation for YEARS, even after they have been long debunked.

American-style Democracy has been exposed to have so many holes and weaknesses by the Busheviks, I find it amazing that the Old American Republic even lasted the 225 years that it did.

Of course, one might argue that technological advances as well as huge advances in psychomanipulation have exposed these weaknesses rather than a structural defect.

It may well be that the Consittitution of the Old American Republic has simply been outstripped by advances in marketing and advertising. Even things like the FCC regulations, written to keep Stalinist/Hitlerian style media out of prominence, have failed anachonistically.

Just my 2 cents...

12. Just a few
1-2-3 It was the Repubes who brought it up. What are we going to tell the children? I don't know you brought it up.

6 Couple BS as far as I know
7 What convictions? How about the most pcorrupt admnistration ever, Reagan. ~ 186 indictments ~ 57 convictions No convictions in the entire Clinton administration

8 Poppa Bush started the downsizing and it was improvements in the technology under Clinton that lead to the success of the actual war part of Gulf War 2. That was Clinton's military, the only thing concrete W had done was to give them all berets made in China er no Canada er uh

9 Not sure if that is true but then he wasn't afraid to go outside of the US and since he was the leader of the only superpower left maybe it would be a good idea. Compare the costs the suppose to the graft that W&Co. are pulling off with ill advised tax cuts (not that their are cuts but the how who and when part of it) and a quagmire in IRaq. Oh and passing debt onto your grandkids and sending grandma a big Rx bill starting in two years.

10 Heard of Casper Weinberger? Orlando Bosch? Who was Mark Rich's attorney? Why it was Dick Cheneys chief of staff "Sccoter" Libby.

11 12 COmplete BS

13 Jealous?

14 I 've never even heard that bit of lunacy. Surely completely made up. Was Tim McVeigh on that flight out of Isreal with Atta?

PS- Gore never said that it was made up by Karl Rove

13. Buy the way, this e-mail is full of LYING LIES
4. Actually, when Busheviks were screaming about "Wag the Dog" for Clinton attacking Bin Laden (and pulling FBI men off the case to search in Clinton's underware drawer), Bin Laden was preparing 9/11.

Some wag the dog.

5. Yes, 8 years of peace and prosperity and paying down our massive debts. What an irresponsible slob. Plus, the Lying Liar Dubya certainly does make Nixon look honest. I'd take him back in a second over our boy-King George.

6. lie

7. lie (no Clinton administration official convicted -- even Cisneros walked--Raygun administartion, many MANY convictions--Google it and you'll see...)

8. Good stuff on Google no doubt regarding Imperial vacations being the most ever (which makes sense...it's not like the Imperial family is accountable to the Imperial Subjects or that they have to worry about being voted out of office). And of course reducing the military (I'm sure not by half -- that's a LIE) was approved by the Bushevik Imperial Congress.

10. 11. and 12. All lies. Washington Post should have the corroborative stories

14. Lie (check Snopes)

14. found this, if you wanna use it..
I noticed floating around the internet the infamous "Dear Mr. Ex President Clinton" so I decided to write my own letter to Mr. Bush and his family:

Dear Mr. Bush and his extended Family:

Thank you for teaching us about family values and once again teaching our country that only the wealthy have proper representation when it comes to matters of law. All of George W. and Jeb Bush's children have been in trouble with the law ranging from alcohol offenses to sexual misconduct and felony prescription fraud and the Bush kids never go to jail or prison. Perhaps the President and Jeb Bush should either lay down the law starting at home, or else they should start caring for the citizens they govern with the same understanding and compassion they use when governing their own children.

Thank you for being a good role model. Bush was convicted of drunk driving and lied to cover it up. He lied at his press conference on 11/3/2000, he lied in court in 1978, he lied to the Dallas Morning News in 1998, he lied to Meet the Press in 1999 and he lied to CBS in 1999. Bush now justifies covering up his arrest "to be a good role model for his daughters." How does he figure that? Lying to cover up your crimes is not what I call being a good role model. Taking responsibility for your actions, admitting fault honestly and warning people of the consequences you suffered, THAT would be a good example. In fact, Bush's running mate Dick Cheney now admits he had two drunk driving offenses in 1962 and 1963, giving the Bush -- Cheney ticket a new world record of 3 DUI's on one ticket. The conviction is bad enough, but the real question is, what other revelations are going to come later, about his drug use (which he won't deny), failing to show up for a year of his National Guard service (which he joined to get out of serving in the Vietnam war), or sexual escapades in his swinging single days? Bush sought and received favored treatment and got out of serving in the Vietnam War and has weaseled like Clinton at his worst and even flat out lied when explaining what happened.

Bush has also lied under oath in the funeral-gate investigation. Bush perjured himself under oath, according to the sworn testimony of two of his political allies. The situation is amazingly similar to Clinton's Lewinsky problem: a potentially damaging lawsuit arose that threatened to involve him. Just like Clinton, Bush swore in an affidavit that he had no involvement in the case, which got him excused from testifying. And just like Clinton, the affidavit was proven false months later by new evidence.

Perhaps he learned all of this from his daddy who lied during the investigation of the Iran-Contra affair when he denied approving the illegal plan at a top-level meeting with Defense Secretary Caspar Weinberger and Secretary of State George Shultz. He obstructed justice when he pardoned Weinberger, Poindexter and others for their crimes committed in Iran-Contra, which blocked the Independent Counsel's investigation and prevented a full investigation of his own role in the affair. He also lied when he called Clarence Thomas the "most qualified" candidate for nomination to the Supreme Court, and obstructed justice when he appointed him to serve despite Thomas' record as a sexual harasser and his absolute opposition to abortion rights and civil rights for women and minorities. Lets not forget that rumors about Bush's own "Jennifer" have never been laid to rest. Thank you George, Jr. for appointing two Iran-Contra criminals to diplomatic posts - John Negroponte and Otto Reich.

Thank you for being responsible for the deaths of Japanese students resulting from the submarine "fun ride" for Republican contributors. You then set up the sub commander to take the fall and scarcely one month after the disaster, you quietly resume "joyrides for Republicans" on submarines. (at least the Lincoln bedroom never killed anybody). You also still secretly aided and abetted the criminal probe of former President Clinton by US Attorney in NYC after publicly stating it was time to "move on" and were responsible for the false allegations of vandalism by outgoing Clinton personnel and the widely exaggerated "gift" scandal .

Thank you for backing off on your campaign promise to cap CO2 emissions which contribute to global warming. Thank you for lifting Clinton's orders banning logging and road-building in about a third of our nation's national forests. Thank you for staying mute as OPEC planned to cut oil production to use the leverage to manufacture scare tactics regarding the energy crisis so that you can further your drilling efforts for a few months worth of oil in our sacred Alaskan Wildlife Refuge.

Thank you Mr. Bush for giving 40% of the nation's tax relief to the top 1% of the wealthiest people in America. In order to pay for your vast tax cut for the richest 1 percent of Americans, you cut the most famous and successful of all the War on Poverty programs. Where is the outrage from the crusaders; the Christian Coalition, the pro-life, pro-child, pro-family advocates? They want to save the children, but they don't want to feed them. We hear the never-ending mantra, of "socialism" every time there's an effort to correct an injustice, or make improvements on deplorable conditions. Well, if thinking that pregnant women and children shouldn't starve makes you a socialist, then I plead guilty. Thank you for standing up for the children who are already born. You propose cutting kids from the Head Start program, eliminating all funding for the Early Learning Opportunities programs and freezing funding for Healthy Start, a program to reduce low birth weight, inadequate prenatal care, and other factors contributing to infant mortality. To add insult, you also have proposed plans that would shift federal funds away from America's public schools to private schools.

Thank you for threatening to take away the fundamental constitutional liberty that individual Americans - not government - can best take responsibility for making the most difficult and intensely personal decisions regarding reproduction and letting God himself decide what the consequences for that woman will be. Thank you for offering to take another woman's only child and send that child off to war to face death to "finish what your daddy started" while you yourself ran with your tail between your legs during the Vietnam War.

We all knew Saddam was evil but there is a time and a place for everything. Thank you for lying about the reasons why we had to go to war and making one of your puppets take the fall for you. Thank you for going in without the United Nations backing us and losing the respect of some of our greatest allies. Thank you for causing a war which is going to last many more years at a billion dollars a day. Who is going to pay for this?

Thank you for planning to cut Social Security benefits; provide prescription drug coverage for only 6 percent of seniors; safeguard big corporations rather than workers; and allow polluters to get away with contaminating our air and water. Thank you for spending my Social Security money on tax breaks for special interests, and having a plan to cut my benefits and raise the retirement age with a risky privatization scheme. Thank you for protecting the big drug companies. Thank you for breaking your promise on education.

Most of all, thank you for giving the Taliban $43 million dollars in May of 2001. The gift, in addition to other aid, made the U.S. the main sponsor of the Taliban at that time and rewarded that regime for declaring that opium growing is "against the will of God". I hold you partially responsible for the inhumane treatment and deaths of people in Afghanistan and the deaths of almost 5,000 innocent Americans and more to come in the upcoming war.

I don't know about you but if Hillary Clinton were to run in the next presidential race, she would have my vote in a heartbeat.

Sincerely:

A U.S. Citizen

Thank you for showing Americans that, while they are working harder than ever, you have taken the most vacation time of any President in memory. Perhaps you are taking after your father, who held the record before you?

Thank you for showing our children that you can do drugs, abuse alcohol, desert my National Guard post and get arrested three times, yet still become President of the United States. How can I tell them to "just say no" when she can say that our President did all that?

19. You can answer with this...
"Thanks, Mr. Bush" is the title.

******

Dear Mr. Bush

Thank you for ignoring the Saudi's responsibility for the September 11th attacks, after all, 15 out of the 19 hijackers were Saudis, as well as Osama. You bomb the hell out Afghanistan, yet have the Saudi Royal family to your home in Texas, while their banks are laundering the terrorist's money and making sure Al Qaeda's assets are safe.

Thank you for not publicly mentioning that the Saudis are politically, and financially supporting groups like Hamas and other terror organizations. Although the Saudi's fund terror, you haven't included them in your "list of terror" nations. You have also NOT mentioned them in your "war on terror".

Thank you for causing the families who are grieving the senseless loss of their family members in the September 11th attacks to have to go after the Saudi's WITHOUT any help from your administration. You would think that the US would be first in line to go after the assets of a country who supports terrorists during a "war on terror".

Thank you for making Saddam your new boogieman. It's finally gotten through your thick heads that the constant fake terror warnings all spring and summer to get the attention away from the damage you're doing to the country was just making the public angry. Too bad your daddy didn't finish the job in Iraq when there were over 500,000 American troops in the area 10 years ago.

So, thanks for being as big a screw up as your daddy.

Thank you for telling the American public how the economy is so strong, even though the Dow Jones Average has lost 25% of it's value since you were crowned, that you've managed to lose a good percentage of the 22 million new jobs that were created after your father's recession, and other economic indicators are saying that the economy is stagnant and going nowhere.

Thanks for helping to destroy a strong economy between the election, your selection and your inauguration day by down talking the strong economy so you could get your huge tax cut passed as a pay back for your wealthiest contributors.

Thanks for instructing your supporters to keep reminding the public about the last president's sex life. It helps the perverts who fixated on his sex life while he was in office to keep those images in their heads.

After all, only a perverted individual would obsess about a private relationship between TWO CONSENTING ADULTS.

One bad thing about it, it reminds the country that 18 short months ago, the biggest news was who the president was having sex with, rather than terror alerts, 3000 deaths, the stock market losing its value, people's retirements vanishing, escalating violence in the middle east, and all the other daily disasters that have gripped the country since your daddy's friends at the US Supreme Court gave you your job.

In your first international incident, thank you for telling China that the US would never apologize for the spy plane incident, then issue a statement a few days later saying that the United States was very very very sorry for allowing its plane to be hit by China's pilot.

Thank you, Mr. Bush, for the growing unemployment rate. When you were appointed, the country had just gone through a period when 22 million jobs were created in 8 years, you've managed to lose 11 million of them in 18 short months.

Thank you for turning the longest and strongest period of economic growth into the first recession since your daddy's recession.

Since you were handed your job, $17 trillion dollars of the nation's worth of wealth has evaporated from the stock markets, America thanks you for their lost savings and retirement funds.

Thank you so much for taking your month long Texas vacation last summer (after only 6 months of work), and ignoring the terror warnings that were coming in all summer. Little things like, young Arab men in flight schools in Arizona who wanted to steer airplanes, but not fly them, a young Arab man in custody in Minnesota who wanted to fly an airplane into the World Trade Center, and for ignoring reports that Osama bin Laden wanted to hijack airplanes.

As long as we're thanking you for vacations, thanks for breaking a record for the most vacation time during your first seven months of work for ANY SITTING PRESIDENT.

Thank you Mr. President for hiding the fact that your administration was warned about the terror attacks before September 11th for 8 months, so you could run around the country playing hero.

While the country was reeling from the attacks on September 11th, thank you Mr. Bush for running and hiding like a little girl. It was comforting for the nation to see Karen Hughes on TV on the afternoon of September 11th telling the country that the president was safe.

Thank you for selling your September 11th photo's so the republican party could profit from the deaths of 3000 innocent people.

Thank you for not even looking at the airport security and anti terrorism measures that the Clinton administration had sent to the house in 96, 97, 98, 99 and 2000.

Yes, Mr. Bush, the same airport security and anti terrorism measures that the house republicans killed each and every one of those years without even bringing them up for debate because they were too busy looking into Mr. Clinton's bedroom window.

Thank you for at least implementing most of the measures that Clinton had asked for AFTER SEPTEMBER 11th.

Thank you Mr. Bush for spending the first 234 days of your presidency pushing your massive tax cut plan, and Ken Lay's Enron Energy policy thatwould have saved that crooked company from bankruptcy.

Thank you for the tax cut that rewards middle income individuals with around a $100 dollars a year, but rewards people in Dick Cheney's income bracket over $125,000 dollars a year.

Thank you some more, for that tax cut that is using OUR social security money to pay for you giving hundreds of thousands of dollars a year to your biggest contributors.

Thank you, even more, for that tax cut for your wealthiest friends that is now leading our country into deficit spending, guaranteeing that our children and grandchildren's tax dollars will be spent on paying off your debt and spending their tax money on interest on that debt.

While our country is at war, thank you so very much Mr. President for spending at least three days a week traveling around the country at taxpayer expense fundraising and campaigning for republican candidates.

20. I've got a little laugh off this:
2. Thank you for teaching my 8 year old about oral sex. I had really planned to wait until he was a little older to discuss it with him, but now he knows more about it than I did as a senior in college.

So the guy didn't know anything about oral sex until he was a senior in college?????? Goodgrief! I'm glad I'm a liberal - have a vast superior sex life!!!

34. No shit
Fucking Ken Star introduced us to all of those women.

And, who the fuck ever said that you had to sit down with our eight year old and explain oral sex?

Hell, some conservatives still consider oral sex as sodomy.

Why not just tell your eight year old that the President lied when he wasn't supposed to, which is allegedly what the impeachment was about.

Doesn't the right wing even bother remembering their spin anymore?

30. In all seriousness
Tell whoever sent this to you to promptly go get fucked and to never email you again. That's what I do. Then I also "reply all" to right wing BS with a link to snopes, or whatever counters it.

Then inform the sender that Hillary is not running.

Also, ask why, if they are just so delightfully interested in facts and accounting, they don't seem to care about Bush's repeated lies about his spending on the war and his outright refusal to discuss the favoratism that his administration uses to carry out government contracts.

Then, tell them to get fucked again, just for good measure.
