Who else is as excited as I am about the moveon.org ads?
I just watched the 15 finalists and I have not felt this good about American politics .... well, probably ever.

This is media by the people for the people. This is what Democracy is all about. This is what our country is capable of!

And I see now why the Wall Street Urinal and Ed Gillespie went on an attack today -- because moveon.org is their biggest enemy! And they're being the GOP's worst nightmare with 100% people power!

These people are SCARED of Democracy, folks! They are terrified that the people might actually get informed and wake up and get ANGRY!

So now what's the next step? How do we get these ads on TV, not just once but over and over again?

We actually might be able to take back the media by simply buying it!

Let's do it.

1. I think these Hitler ads give us a horrible image.
Not to mention the disservice it does to people who actually suffered through the Holocaust.

I'm definitely no fan of Bush, but this is not the way to win votes.

4. the ad was submitted, and then yanked
Who cares? It's just typical repuke squealing. They can label us traitors, commies, etc...but if one person submits an ad in a contest, they raise holy hell. They are sick, twisted, demented, un-American, cowardly, sorry excuses for human beings!

But hey, it'll get more people to the Moveon website where they will see the EXCELLENT ads that are now posted as the finalists...

5. Hey, if it walks like a duck!
Bush IS a modern day Hitler. He is slaughtering tens of thousands of innocent people to advance his evil agenda. The comparisons are valid. Tough shit if ChimpCo Inc. doesn't like it.

7. I feel like a firefighter!
I've posted about this to so many different places!

Do you understand that the "Hitler Ad" was a submission into a contest? That it was an open contest and over 1,000 ads were sent in by regular people?

moveon.org is hardly responsible. They didn't create it, didn't *feature* it, and it certainly didn't make the finalists.

There were hundreds and hundreds of really great ads! There were also hundreds of absolute dogs. Please don't let this "Hitler" thing become more than it really was.

11. Oh, which Hitler ad was that? The one you never saw?
Quick! Describe it in 50 words or less! How many votes did it get? Specifically what kind of comparison does it make?

I do believe the original poster was referring to the 15 finalists, not the other submissions. The fact that you latched on to the one the RNCC objected to only shows how well the right wing propaganda works.

19. Superbowl? Half a million maybe?
I'm not sure. A lot, no doubt. But if a million people each give five bucks, that's a lot of money.

"Child's Pay" is amazing...that will wake a lot of people up. Simple, effective and very memorable. I first saw that weeks ago and can't stop thinking about it.

Check the finalists out for yourself:

13. Yes! I am terribly excited!
and just a little disappointed that I only got to watch about 400 of the ads! LOL

This is just awesome! Democracy in action. I LOVE moveon.org!

Which finalist do you like best? Three of my favorites made the cut, but my absolute favorite (named "Seriously") didn't. I wish I had a copy of it.

14. three or four that I thought were just awesome
including the Polygraph, and the one where all the dead faces flash by in the little box over Bush's face as he speaks.

I want to see these ads on TV every day till the election.

We just have to pay for it.

Like anything else in America,if you want it, you can buy it!

Let's buy it.

16. The ads are awesome.....
now I wish they would put on a contest for
ideas on how to persuade the South to come
back to their democratic roots. They continue
to vote against their own best interests out
of ignorance. I think that really good ads
could change that.
