Why didn't God tell Pat Robertson about 9/11?
Just think had God gotten on the pipe to Pat, all the lives which could have been saved!! Pat would have been a hero and his ministry probably would have gotten more donations than he would know what to do with.

And why didn't God tell Pat about the Iranian Earthquake? 20-40,000 lives could have been saved.

But God, in his wisdom, decides to channel Pat Robertson and assure him that Bush will win in a landslide in 2004.

Perhaps Pat and Bill Bennett will start placing some bets based on this insider information from a very high source.

1. But he knows 9/11 was caused by lesbians, liberals and witches.
Jerry Falwell said so.

12. Didn't we deserve it because of abortions?
I think one of the wackos mentioned it at the time. I'm sure if we reversed Roe v. Wade the terrorists would leave us alone.

21. So how is that different ?
...from Palestinians supposedly dancing in the streets?
(Though actually that has been identified as archive footage from another occasion.)
Where's the outrage?

2. You see
after God disenfranchised tens of thousands of legal black voters in Florida and convinced the Supreme Court to vote against their "states rights" beliefs, his work was done. He needed a nap.
But now that the election is coming up, plan on seeing God intervening once more through the lives of his evangelical prophets, for God lives to stump for Republicans in election years.

9. Robertson
could be--gasp!--lying. His whole operation could be about what all corporations operations are about...money.

Then again, since they are both so pious and they both give everything they have to the poor :eyes:, we should just give them the benefit of the doubt.

"Aw, c'mon God! I gotta raise the money for my new yacht! I'm busy that day!"

15. Why didn't the god tell Robertson about 9-11?
because the god is a made up god and the god is a god that is made up in the image of the human being who decides he or she can determine who the god is. It is all a matter of man, inventing a god according ro his own image.

This godm, for the past thousands of years, is operating on his reptillian brain. He needs to KILL in order to stay the god and be adored. Does that not strike any people who are loving people, helpful people, as sort of a little, skewed and insane?

Read the bible, It is full of killing by the god, invented by the god made up by the human in his own image.

16. Or about failed gold mines in Liberia
Edited on Fri Jan-02-04 06:57 PM by gulliver
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2003/07/11/national/main562915.shtml

Pat defended Charles Taylor against Bush and wasted $8M of God's (from Robertson contributors) money on a failed gold venture. I wonder how Robertson contributors like that.

18. Desperation in the * camp?
This is a sure sign of desperation.... saying that God is saying * is gonna be re-selected.

They must know the gig is just about up and it's time to pull out all the stops.

Afterall, how many Gore voters are gonna vote for * ? The Dem has at least a 500,000 vote margin already.

Wonder what other foolishness they'll come out with...?

19. Because it is really Satan who is calling Pat
He just lowers his voice a bit and says, "Hey, Pat...its, uh, God!"

That simpleton buys it every time.

20. LOL...you beat me to it...
almost anyone who knows anything about the Bible knows that satan always was known as a 'trickster' of the evil kind.

Same MO used on David Berkowitz, of "Son of Sam" fame. The dog Sam was used by satan to tell Berkowitz to kill.

Seems like Berkowitz had better hearing than Pat.

Jeez, why do people listen to the non-charismatic Pat? Hypocrisy JUMPS off this guy, right into your face!

I need some sleep!

23. Gott mit uns
There's a good reason for that innate dread of people who insist that god talks directly to them - historically they've pulled some bad shit.
