Bush knew it was a LIE before giving the SOTU. (link inside)
At least according to this source he did (link below).

An intelligence consultant who was present at two White House briefings where the uranium report was discussed confirmed that the President was told the intelligence was questionable and that his national security advisors urged him not to include the claim in his State of the Union address.
"The report had already been discredited," said Terrance J. Wilkinson, a CIA advisor present at two White House briefings. "This point was clearly made when the President was in the room during at least two of the briefings."
Bush's response was anger, Wilkinson said.
"He said that if the current operatives working for the CIA couldn't prove the story was true, then the agency had better find some who could," Wilkinson said. "He said he knew the story was true and so would the world after American troops secured the country."

2. Bush isn't interested in doing his job correctly
only with being "commander in chief" so he can order people around and make them do what he wants and lie how he wants.

4. Yup, this could be huge
but I could find nothing about it using a googlenews search. I hope Mr. Wilkinson steps forward like Joseph Wilson just did over the weekend!

5. Terrance J. Wilkinson
better stay out of small planes. Dana Rohrabacker was just on Pat and Bill's show: "The Cia and top directors check the speech so it is their fault....Bush acted in good faith." The spin begins!

8. Peter Jennings mentioned this a little before 7 p.m. EST.
He said the White House admits (or some similar word) that the Nigerian uranium SHOULD NOT have been in the State of the Union Address.

10. Whoa NELLIE--Wilkinson has got the stake for the little vampire
Woe betide Hannity and friends with their "The Presidink Was Misled" spin. That's not gonna hold up boys. We got somebody here sez your IQ-challenged little buddy made 'em put it in the speech over his ADVISERS' objections. That's gonna hurt if Wilkinson can make it stick.

We gonna see Wilkinson on the Op-Ed of the NYTimes now, hmmmmm?
