WSJ on Bush corruption clean-up pre-election: Iraq contracts/GITMO appeals
Window cleaning/spinning to hide corruption before election:

The WSJ has an article by King and Dreazen that reports that the Bush Administration has decided to delay $4 billion in reconstruction in Iraq until an interim Iraqi government takes control over the summer, and that the Bush folks are also - maybe - as well thinking of opening contracts to companies from France, Germany, and Russia, as well as other incentives to countries that forgive Iraq's debt.

The WSJ also has a Bravin report that in an effort to distance military tribunals for suspected terrorists from politics, the Bush Administration is replacing Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz in the system with four civilian lawyers who will hear appeals.

My God !!!! - A pretend return to the rule of law - since "Lawyers" sounds like Law and that implies Judges - and now all is well with the US Constitution.

:-)
