God I wish there were a network where I could watch REAL up-to-date news!
I've been flipping from CNN to MSNBC to C-SPAN to LINK to Free Speech TV trying to catch more info about Treasongate. But noooooo, I'm forced to listen to dribble about Michael Jackson (CNN & MSNBC), re-runs from 4 months ago (C-SPAN), or very interesting documentaries, that are unrelated to recent events (LINK and FSTV). Are the Dems EVER going to start up a network that actually gives us news???

:argh:

6:00--watch Lou Dobbs get upset over outsourcing and try to not blame it on Repubs
6:30 watch CBS At least they try....
7:00 Jon Stewart--the most objective reporting currently on TV
7:30 Saturday nite reruns
8:00 Keith Oberman-- he really tries...

5. Real news on a network
Use the internet. Granted, you'll have to look around for real news a bit, but the stuff on TV is almost worthless.

Think of it this way: every time you watch TV you are supporting that organization. This happens when commercials come on. The average is that 1/4 cent is made per viewer per commercial, so even if you say you never buy anything that you see on an add, chances are against it.

The best thing to do is use your power as a consumer (I know it sounds cheesy) and not buy their "product." While I'm at it, DON'T WATCH FOX, and DON'T LISTEN to RUSH! Every time someone does, they are supporting FOX or Rush. I've heard the argument that people say they want to get an idea of what other people will use as arguments but this is severly flawed. Next time someone says something outrageous and quotes Rush, just say he's entertainment, not a reliabe news source.

By listening to Rush, FOX, etc. and coming up with counter arguments, one validates what Rush is saying.

I'm pretty sick of people who pretend to hate the right wing media but go right ahead and contribute themselves to the viewership of exactly what they pretend to want to get rid of. For everyone this doesn't apply to, please excuse my rant.

8. After you've watched for a few hours
and found maybe two minutes on Treasongate and the rest on Laci Peterson, or MJ you'll realize that the deck is stacked against you. Ignore them. They will never change. They are for Bush. They will always be for Bush. Concentrate on getting out the vote, and getting those around you to vote for a Democrat.

6. You think CNN is bad with MJ - watch FOX.
90% of the time I'm flipping through and come to FOX, they're talking about Jackson.

I find Headline News a good source for unbiased news.

Washington Week with Gwen Ifel(sp.?) Friday night. Both are on PBS. These are the only unbiased newscasts out there and they regularly cover the news the whore networks won't touch. They often have good guests too that you don't see on CNN or elsewhere.

NPR. That's the only place other than the internet to get news without watching hours of Propaganda and distraction which you have to channel surf through.
