1. Oh good god, please tell me BushCo won't start shooting down French planes
Just because they wouldn't help us steal and kill.

9. And if they do,
I'm sure the Orwellian propaganda they'll immediately put forth will quell any negative reaction from many people and they'll support it because he'll look "tough" and "strong and in control", :puke:

BTW, anyone else notice the sickening anti-French comments from the freeps, such as "the French passengers will then do a surrender dance", "they should fly close enough for the French passengers to see the war guns", "How many Frenchmen does it take to defend Paris? Don't know, it's never been tried", and shit like that. Unbelievable! Makes me ashamed to be a citizen of the same country as these people.

10. Someone should tell the freekers about the "taxicab army"
which refers to an event in WWI in which every available vehicle, including taxicabs, was recruited in Paris to take defenders to the front in an all-out effort to prevent the Germans from reaching the city. As a result of such efforts, Paris never fell to the Germans during that war.

Meanwhile, hundreds of thousands of French troops and civilians died in the defense of the city of Verdun.

2. Looks like it's SOP the last few days.
Some nut must have picked up the vectoring of a pair of falcons in to escort the Air Franch flight (I think this is the same route they canned last week).

I think they've escorted in every AF flight in to LAX since Christmas.

4. Where was NORAD on 9/11?
Either asleep at the switch, or LIHOP.

6. Exactamundo!
Where were they indeed. Simply amazing that anyone could fly a plane anywhere close to the Pentagon, let alone crash one into the building.

7. Yea but...
we've been flying into National for years ... just seconds from the Pentagon at any speed over 100knts. Clancey gave us the warning and the kook in the Cessna reinforced it, but we all failed to see. So now we have to take off our shoes and hold our bladders because of it.

8. They were talking 9/11 timeline today on MSNBC
But it was in the context of why the FAA waited over 50 minutes to start grounding planes. They didn't even bring up that NORAD could have shot the planes down in time.
