Alaska just became subject to meat recall
No link as I just heard it on the radio but Alaska has just been placed on list for meat recall. I am a food wholesaler and this will effect me drastically. Is anything going to ever be safe in this country again. Bush* has managed to poison our entire nation one way or another. How can people possibly think things are going well? I just don't get it. Brainwashing really works well.

5. It is the government's responsiblity to inspect and test for such things
If the government falls down on the job we as consumers suffer. That is why we have a USDA and Health inspecters. I'm sure we are going to hear how all this could have been prevented if the government (Bush*) had done their job. The same is true for 9-11. It was preventable and the government (Bush*) didn't do their job.

7. The lateness of the diagnosis caused more problems than if the tests
had been done promptly. That is definately Bush's fault.

6. Hawai'i may have beef from sick cow
http://the.honoluluadvertiser.com/article/2003/Dec/29/ln/ln09a.html

By Peter Boylan
Advertiser Staff Writer

U.S. agriculture officials said yesterday that meat from a dairy cow afflicted with mad cow disease may be in Hawai'i.

Although federal officials maintain the food supply is safe, Hawai'i is now part of a recall of an estimated 10,000 pounds of meat.

All local recall efforts are being coordinated by the USDA and its regional office, Hawai'i officials said. The state departments of agriculture and health have offered to help the USDA track down any recalled beef that may have made its way to Hawai'i.

It is not known which local retailers have been affected.

In a recall, compliance inspectors from the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service will go to retail establishments suspected of receiving tainted meat and place a hold on the meat until it can be discarded.

8. Can you say Elmendorf AFB, Ft. Richardson, Ft. Greeley
Edited on Mon Dec-29-03 02:13 PM by revcarol
and all our other military bases' messes and commissaries who get their meat from government contractors? This is BIIIIIG.

But this does take the heat off "9/11 could have been prevented" and "no terrorists found although Air France targeted."

9. I agree, it is "Really Big"
but it may take some weeks or months for the public to grasp how big it really is. Everything changes now. Things begin to move much faster.

We are equal to the challenge.
