What is your opinion of the Wall Street Journal?
Is it a right-wing rag or can it be trusted for accurate reporting?

3. Reading the editorial page...
Is like sticking a flashlight up the ass of the Republican Elephant. But like Noam Chomsky says, Sometimes it's good to read the WSJ because they actually spell out their plans and beliefs without the sugar coating they use in the rest of the media. It's almost refreshing to read Norquist-esque evil scheming in the mainstream, in plain language, instead of seeing it couched in the skein of "centrism," like it's presented in the rest of the media...at least you know who your enemies are and what they're thinking.

9. Great? Or Acceptable?
Me, i don't see the attraction of that paper. Very little in-depth coverage of news, almost zero on science, and an overemphasis on how nearly everything relates to business. (I know, that's their job. But, i don't see how that makes it a great newspaper.)

I'd say the news section is competent. But, the op-ed is wild-eyed, two dimensional thinkers writing daily screeds against anyone with whom they disagree.

14. Is hypocrit John Fund - still part of their editorial board?
Found his downfall rather amusing - though sad. Showed him to be an opportunistic dirtbag who will moralize and rail against others but takes personal moral relativism to new heights. But of course, being well embraced by the far-right has its advantages... falls from grace are short lived. Have already seen him on the talking heads circuit, and imagine he is back in the fold writing wild-eyed fanatic stuff on the editorial pages.

11. The Nation calls it
the country's "cheerfully fascist rag", and, given that my boss subscribes to it and I've had the misfortune of reading it, especially the nazi op-ed pages, I have to wholeheartedly agree.

13. RW rag
15 years ago, it was a decent centrist paper, although conservative leaning in most respects.

Now it is a shill for the junta and PNACers.

15. Right wing drivel
But unlike the Washington Times, it is at least reasonably well-written right wing drivel.
