3. The reason I don't like this add is:

Because any democrat in office would be spending time fund raising too, yes even while soldiers were in Iraq.

To be perfectly honest, as much as I do not support Bush in any way, I don't really like the premise of this ad. To me it feels too much like trying to find any reason to be against Bush, rather than trying to find the right reasons to be against Bush.

Part of being the President is raising money to be the President again. It's true of every democrat and every Republican to ever be President. It's also not really entirely fair. This "fund raising" endeavors are "events." They don't take up 24 hours of every day, and the are necessary to political campaigns.

Question: How much money has Howard Dean, Clark, Kerry or any other Democrat been raising while kids have been dying? That sounds like a ridiculous question right? I hope so, because I meant it to be.

its not any of the canadate's responsability to change the situation in iraq (right now, anyway) because at this moment they have no control over it. and no, campaigning doesnt take up 24 hours, so i wanna know why he cant even attend a funeral instead of golfing and fundraising.

I sort of see part of Selwynn's point. The focus on $$ is chilling, but the real travesty is the time Bush spends fundraising instead of doing his job.
