Everyone has a story to tell. Now I have one
I was shopping today and saw one of my fellow employees. We're both in education, so I haven't seen her in 6 weeks.

Her younger brother is in the Army special forces and has been in Afghanistan and took part in the invasion and occupation of Iraq. I told my friend from work that I had been thinking of her and her brother, and she remarked that thank God he came home July 5.

I took the opportunity to ask her what the soldiers' feelings were toward Bush and company. She said incredulously that it hadn't changed. I knew her father was retired military, and I mentioned "don't those soldiers know Bush is cutting veterans' benefits?" She said that they do, but that they're not retired veterans yet. She also said her father was furious at the Republicans and could not vote for Bush. He couldn't understand why his son and others in his unit were backing that piece of shit in the White House (those are my words).

Anyway, my friend's brother is already talking about Africa, and it could be any day that he may be leaving.

1. Oh, what a life......from Afghanistan to Africa.......
But still voting Bush. Wow.....I don't think folks know anything about critical thinking anymore - or cause and effect.

2. Yep, truly unbelievable
My friend and her dad always argue politics with him. He's young, and he hasn't thought of his future. But I can see why, Bush's warmongering is trying to end his future.

4. Or
See the world
Visit exotic places
Meet interesting people
And kill them.

Sorry, couldn't help myself. I really do support our troops -- it's our militarism I hate.
