The ultimate dream job...

A few days ago we had a thread in the Lounge on your three Dream Jobs. There were some good ones there.

I just realized the ultimate Dream Job: Being the judge in the trials of Rush Limbaugh and of George Walker Bush.

Now look what we have before us: Two men who are undeniably guilty. Rush of drug abuse, Dubya of treason. The only drawback to this job would be the possibility of getting freepers on your juries, but careful selection will solve that problem.

Now it is up to you: Assume that these open-and-shut cases end as they must, with a guilty verdict. What would you sentence these men to?

I was thinking ten years in general population in the Florida State Penitentiary, no time off for good behavior, for Rush.

For George, there can only be one punishment. He has to be executed. He is up to 474 deaths (according to http://lunaville.org/warcasualties/Summary.aspx) of military personnel in Iraq, over a thousand in Afghanistan (http://www.worldmessenger.20m.com/afghanistan.html), who knows how many in the Philippines, plus all the coalition troops, the Iraqi Army, the Taliban, the Iraqi and Afghan civilians...I think that at this point in his rule, he's got a higher body count than Hitler did at this point in his.

3. Not execution...

but let him live on death row for a few years. He has to watch every execution that takes place in Texas and have dinner with the families of the executed.

(Or, just strip him naked and drop him somewhere on a mountain in Pakistan.)

4. That would require the man to have Compassion

George W. Bush has no compassion. So making him watch the executions won't do anything to him.

Subjecting him to mock execution after mock execution could be entertaining. Put a needle in each of his arms, then inject Ringer's lactate into him, or maybe a therapeutic dose of sodium pentothal, so he would pass out but not die.

If he had compassion, sending him to hug the mothers/widows of every soldier killed in his wars would be good.
