So will BushCo tell the Pope to shove it?
After all, he's asking for wars to stop and that's unpatriotic in the US and in the rest of world, you are for us or agin' us.

1. The Church believes the Pope is the intermediary between God and Catholics
and Bush is God's choice for pres and God speaks to the generals in Iraq so if the Pope apposses war than I guess God is telling everyone something different. Come on God stop playing tricks!

3. It talked about a similar issue in some posts I made earlier today
Too many people on this board want to blast the Pope and Catholic Church every time they are mentioned.

Political reality-Sometimes you have to use the ammunition given to you.

Say, when a right wing Catholic emphasizes the "morality" of Bush, emphasize the Catholic Church stated the war in Iraq was immoral.

Bush can't have it both ways. He started an immoral war. What does that make him?

6. As BushCo was building up for the war, "boots on the ground"
in Kuwait, the Pope asked that it not happenm and BushCo in effect told him to shove it.

5. Bush told virtually every leader of every mainstream religion to shove it
I remember one after another--Catholic, Methodist, Lutheran, Quaker and others--the only one that sanctioned the invasion was the Southern Baptist Convention-- all were--offical proclamations against the invasion of Iraq and Bush ignored them all, willfully. He invents his own religion and is under no obligation to respect anything religious leaders may say. It seems to me they all wasted their time, energy and breath--no one paid much attention, including the flock.

8. What, you mean like this?

They don't dress like that anymore. And besides, lay off the uniform, it was designed by Michaelangelo, it's supposed to be gay.

11. No, they still use that uniform. it is their Dress Uniform
It is typical of the 1500s (Bright colors were in), with the advent of Smokeless poweder in the 1870s Armies started to move away from such uniforms except for Dress, and it is as a Dress uniform that the Uniform is retained.

Please note these Swiss soldiers all have Swiss Military Training and fully equiped as per the modern Swiss Army. This includes Anti Aricraft missles, Anti Tank Missles, Assult rifles, machine guns and modern uniforms to be worn in case of battle.

They are only 100 of them left, and their job is to protect the Pope, and they will do their best or protect the Pope if called on.
