Every year, in the Fidonet "Politics" echo, this "newspaper editor" named Stan Hardegree, in Villarica Georgia, dredges up out of the muck this rotten, stinking POS:
You might be a Clinton rumpswab....
An echo from Thanksgiving 1999

You might be a Clinton Rumpswab if....
You regard Bill Clinton's masturbating in the Oval Office sink to be a private matter between him and his wife but regard the details of Newt Gingrich's divorce to be legitimate public grist.

(Just posted)
Five years ago yesterday, this country impeached Bill Clinton. He would subsequently be suspended from practicing law in Arkansas where he once served as Attorney General, and he is prohibited forever from practicing law in front of the Supreme Court. He paid about $100,000 in contempt of court fines for lying and paid Paula Jones almost $1 million to settle her lawsuit against him.
Since those days, Slick has involved himself in shady pardons for cash deals, and he and his garrish wife are under investigation for accepting shady campaign money.
Slick Willy contintues to remind us that he is the sleaziest punk ever to hold the office of President of the United States.
So what does Stan have to say about Bush's Turkey Trot with the fake turkey in Iraq?
Take a look:
When we got home later that evening, I watched a replay of stunned soldiers welcoming their Commander in Chief, who proceeded to serve them Thanksgiving dinner.

This is not the first time that President Bush has been a bold man on the world scene. He has at other times taken center stage, when: • delivering a near perfect speech to a devastated country two days after 9-11, • climbing on rubble at ground zero to address weary rescue workers, • throwing a first-pitch strike for the opening game of the World Series in 2001, • appearing with surprised athletes during the 2002 Olympics, • landing aboard an aircraft carrier to welcome the U.S.S. Lincoln home from the Gulf.
Bitter cynics, still smarting from the 2000 election, call these sincere gestures empty photo ops.
I think that most Americans know better. George Bush appears to be a man who loves his country very deeply. He shows his love openly and without even a hint of self consciousness. Good for him.
