Rhymes with P and that stands for Pawlently.

This is heads up for my fellow Minnesotans. I was flipping around the local news at 6 and caught a blurb for a story that will be on the 10 o'clock news on KSTP ch 5 (though it could be KARE-11, forgive me) I searched both their websites and couldn't find anything.

The blurb I caught said that it appears that the head of the State Commerce Department, Glenn Wilson, entered into a secret settlement agreement with some insurance company. So, secret in fact, it will be kept from state and federal regulators.

The Commerce department is supposed to be the state consumer watchdog (Mike Hatch ran it years ago) and secret agreements are illegal. No doubt just another oversight by another Pawlenty appointee.

I hope this story turns out to be as interesting as the blurb made it sound.

2. this sounds familiar
I don't want to say it's old news. But it's very familiar... I don't know why. I live in MN too.

3. I'll watch 'em both at 10
but the chances are that this is only the tip o' the iceberg. Pawlenty is a behind the scenes wheeler-dealer. For every thing we know about, there are 10 we don't.

I found myself wishing that Arnie would run again. I liked him.

4. Arnie was more of an old school Republican
the right wing of the party hated him. Wonder how Tucker turned out so badly.
