Do Americans have "fear fatigue"?
A guest on one of the MSNBC talk shows mentioned this earlier this evening. Is there any truth to the statement? Are Americans simply worn out from 2 years of fear? Even though the Administration is trying to convince people that this is a serious threat, it is almost like the little boy that cried "wolf!" once too often. The people seem to be ignoring the warning. Is this good or bad?

4. Americans need to fear
the one who is causing major financial disaster for our country.
There should be warning colors for Bu$$h alert.
Red alert= Bu$h just bankrupted the country.
Orange alert= Bu$h spent way to much
etc etc , you get the picture.
:kick:!

5. I sure hope so
Anything to lessen the "culture of fear" that we've managed to breed for ourselves here would be a welcome, welcome, relief.

6. Very bad
Besides crying wolf too often, why should we listen to a government that is being run by a pack of pathological liars? It is well known that instilling fear in people makes them easier to control. What really bothers me is that they are probably up to something which will turn out to be very bad for us.

7. comments on TV
I don't watch much TV anymore but I did catch some person-on-the-street interviews--maybe 20 in all. Not one person, not a single one, expressed any fear or change in their plans.

8. Fear
My wife was all scared and I asked her what was the matter, she pointed out the terror color level. I said they haven't told the truth about anything so far why believe them now. Especially with "don't quit shopping though, go on with you lives". Shit.
