4. Check out these parallel quotes
Edited on Mon Dec-22-03 09:28 PM by BEFOREATHOUGHT
The second time around he reads Brzezinski's quote in a German ancient..

(1997)--Zbigniew Brzezinski- The grand chessboard --
"Moreover as America becomes an increasingly multicultural society It might find it more difficult to fashion a consensus on foreign policy issues Except in the circumstance of a truly massive and widely perceived direct external threat."

(2000)-- Project for a New American Century--
"The process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event -- like a new Pearl Harbor"

And just for kicks...
-- Hermann Goering, Adolf Hitler's Deputy Chief---
"Of course the people don't want war... That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country."

At the start of part 4, there is an obvious gap in the video he is in midstream explaining NORADS delayed response to the 4 highjacked planes.

16. An example of Corn's counter-argument:
Edited on Tue Dec-23-03 03:10 AM by Minstrel Boy
"I recall interviewing one former CIA official who helped manage a division that ran the sort of actions listed above, and I asked him whether the CIA had considered "permanently neutralizing" a former CIA man who had revealed operations and the identities of CIA officers. Kill an American citizen? he replied, as if I were crazy to ask. No, no, he added, we could never do that. Yes, in the spy-world some things were beyond the pale. And, he explained, it would be far too perilous, for getting caught in that type of nasty business could threaten your career."

What's Corn doing here? He's simply taking the word of a former CIA official that Oh no, heavens-to-Betsy, we'd never kill an American. Perish the thought... :eyes: That, he takes as the basis for his case against government complicity in the attacks of 9/11 because, if the CIA couldn't kill one American, surely elements representing institutions of government wouldn't be party to the deaths of hundreds or thousands, regardless of the strategic payoff. Heavens-to-Betsy, surely not....

Corn again:

"to execute the simultaneous destruction of the two towers, a piece of the Pentagon, and four airplanes... is far beyond the skill level of U.S. intelligence. It would require dozens (or scores or hundreds) of individuals to attempt such a scheme."

So, US intelligence couldn't pull this off, but a guy in a cave half a world away could?

Now, who is not credible?

There is a tremendous reluctance by the gatekeepers of the American Left, represented by institutions such as The Nation and journalists such as Corn, to admit the existence of that which is popularly disparaged as conspiracy, but which might be better respected as the criminal record of the National Security State. Such talk is a distraction, they argue. Though they don't really argue. More, they lampoon, ridicule and dismiss out of hand. They'll jump through the craziest hoops to do it, too. The Nation has defended The Warren Commission for 40 years.
Now, as then, it defends the official story.

Just because they're left, doesn't make The Nation and Corn neccesarily right.

18. "Operation Mockingbird" has subverted the media - left and right
You can tell them by their reaction to the official story of 9-11.

Blind acceptance is a dead give away.

19. Kick for the truth
Time is of the essence.

The Neo-Con death merchants are starting to get nervous. They haven't completely shut down dissent regarding 9-11 yet. The widows are making trouble, some not bought Dems (McDermott e.g.) still refuse to fall in line (stay away from small planes, Jim) and the Saddam capture is bound to bring more headaches. The Bushies do not want a fair and open international trial, they have much to hide. The soldiers, whom it seems are to be condemned to cannon fodder detail in the mideast for the foreseeable future, have families who are starting to clamour for some sense of purpose and a plan to get them home.

Plus, the pathetic compliance of their Corporate Media is starting to waver. Many average people are starting to awake to the fact that they are not only being lied to, they are then told that its for their own good. The pressure on traditional papers like the NYT and the WP is growing. The editorialships at both papers are being called out as nothing more than steno clerks for Herr Karl Rove's Ministry Of Spin.

If backed into a corner, and if Bush's poll numbers continue to slide, I truly fear the other shoe will drop.

When and where may be gleaned by asking oneself the following question : which state is most opposed to Bush's draconian policies?

This is an absolute must see.

It's that guy from http://www.fromthewilderness.com/,
Michael Ruppert:

"An Honors graduate of UCLA in Political Science (1973), Mike is a former LAPD narcotics investigator who discovered CIA trafficking in drugs in 1977. After attempting to expose this he was forced out of LAPD in 1978 while earning the highest rating reports possible and having no pending disciplinary actions. In 1996, after 18 years of struggle, he finally achieved one of his deepest wishes in a face to face public encounter with then CIA Director John Deutch on national television. Washington sources later told Mike that Deutch's mishandling of the encounter cost him a guaranteed appointment as Secretary of Defense."
