BUSH AND BLAIR: THE BIG FALL-OUT

Dec 21 2003

Relations in 'deep freeze' since Saddam caught
By Chris Mclaughlin, Political Editor

"TONY Blair and George Bush's love-in has collapsed over the rebuilding of Iraq. The two leaders have fallen out over plans for the reconstruction of the country and the heavy-handed action of American troops against the civilian population. And the rift has been deepened by a Washington ban on a proposed morale-boosting visit by the PM to British troops in Iraq during the Christmas holiday.

According to diplomats, relations between the allies have gone into "deep freeze" since the capture of Saddam Hussein last weekend."

-------------------------------------------Editorial splurp:

Blair is a bigger sissy than I thought. I let George tell him he couldn't visit his troops. Doesn't it make you want to walk over a cliff for the C-in-C?

What a couple of nancy boys.

3. border story
Kind of interesting that a columnist would make a comment like "obvious idiocy of the policies of the Bush administration" in a major paper, don't you think? What a sign of disrespect! I don't think I've ever seen anything like this before.

Those border stories are just disgraceful. What on earth are these questions intended to reveal? I am so ashamed of America. Who would ever have thought that it would come to this?

Cher

5. well, it's the Toronto Star
They aren't fans of Bush. Of the major papers, they are to the left of the Globe and Mail (also based in Toronto, but more national in scope -- they go back and forth on Bush). And then there's the National Post, which has David Frum (ex-Bush speechwriter) on their staff -- need I say more.

Don't these guys have to take simple civil service exams to get the job? This guard is beyond stupid!
