Jose Padilla and GITMO...the "Magnificant" ruling
"A magnificent act," is how Jonathan Turley described the Padilla ruling. "I mean, this is what the framers intended courts to do, to be independent enough to stand against the most powerful wind." Introducing Turley, CNN's Aaron Brown said: "We set out to find a conservative, legal scholar who would argue that the court got it wrong today. And we failed." www.cursor.org

1. they could have quoted Bush spokesman Scott McLellan
Press secretary Scott McLellan is still insisting that George W. can have any one of us arrested, and hold us indefinitely with no charges and no right to see an attorney or our family.

Ideally, Bush's approval rating would have dropped to around zero when he decided he has this power, but no such thing happened.
