So America is safer b/c Hussein has been captured. Really?
First of all, in 30yrs or so of being in power, Saddam never was implicated in a direct or indirect plot against U.S. right? Now we take the last few terrorist attacks against U.S. directly on U.S. soil or targeted against Americans abroad. 9/11 of course was Bin Laden/Al Qaeda. U.S.S. Cole was Yemeni but most say Bin Laden/Al Qaeda behind it. Tanzania embassy bombings Bin Laden/Al Qaeda. Casabalana-Al Qaeda or offshoot of theirs. Bali bombings-Al Qaeda or offshoot of theirs. Saudia Arabia-Al Qaeda or offshoot of theirs. Turkey-Al Qaeda or offshoot of theirs. Again-Iraq- -0- terror bombing against U.S. here or abroad during that time!!! But we're safer b/c Saddam was caught? 600 Americans or so it looks like will be murdered this yr in NYC and that number is low. Gary Ridgeway admitted to killing 48 woman and probably killed a 100 or more in WA. A man in New Jersey just admitted killing 30-40 patients as a nurse. The Washington area sniper's killed 10 people. Women in the Air-Force have been raped and assaulted it appears for a long time going on and nothing! Homicide is the number one killer among pregnant woman in America!!! Tell the victims of all those people how they would have been safer if Saddam wasn't in power!! Truth is even though Al Qaeda is the real terror threat to USA, most of us are more likely to be killed by one of our fellow Americans than from terror. And for that matter, sacrificing almost 500 US lives and thousands injured, plus 8-10k civilians dead when the real terror both here and abroad has been Al Qaeda is stupid. It's like arresting a man in Baltimore b/c of a string of murders in Seattle! So Dean is right, we are not safer b/c Saddam has been caught!!

1. Dean has been right all along on this "misadventure" in Iraq.
The fact that SH was captured means nothing, except that there will be MORE violence in Iraq.

The "capture" as just another stunt by the thugs. It will backfire.

Pass me the rubber drumstick.

2. Of course not.
Maybe certain sects of Iraqis are safer from the Baathists, but we over here in the USA aren't safer.

3. I'd say the only thing safer now....
is the air in that whole no longer smells like bum farts. Nothing has changed except the tone of propoganda. Kucinich for President.

Screw the "Dean had it right all along" guy. If the war was wrong (which it was), then the "post-war-occupation" is wrong. Dean believes in the continuation of the occupation, because he believes it increases the value of his political career. People will die because of his narcissism.

The revolution will not be televised. http://www.kucinich.us

4. There's another forum for candidate bashing.
This isn't the one.
