S.C. blacks could tip primary

"Clyburn's decision awaited

The most coveted endorsement is that of U.S. Rep. James Clyburn, a six-term House member and the state's most powerful black politician. Clyburn commands a formidable network of leaders and ministers across the majority-black 6th Congressional District, which stretches from Columbia to Charleston."

Clark Seems to Working S.C. Hard.....

"SUN CITY HILTON HEAD -- Retired Gen. Wesley Clark and S.C. Rep. James Clyburn spoke to a crowd of Democratic party supporters at Sun City Saturday night, delivering sustained attacks on the Bush administration's domestic and foreign policies."

Columbia, SC

VIPs Present: Gen. Wes Clark, Amb. Andy Young, Cong. Charlie Rangel

With Clark's Numbers in S.C. closing in on Dean.....and after hearing several Black Leaders in S.C. on NPR this morning talking about they want to pick the guy who has the best chance of beating George Bush in 2004... Well All I Can Say Is...

It's Coming Together Folks, It's Coming Together....

1. Clyburn endorsed Gephardt last week
unfortunately for both of them, Gephardt will likely be out of the race (following a 3rd place Iowa finish) before the SC primary.

I used the search function on DU but turned up nothing....

But, I agree, Gephardt loses big in Iowa, he'll drop out.

3. From what Gephardt has said
Iowa is a must win. He will have to win there for his campaign to continue.
