http://www.cnn.com/2003/ALLPOLITICS/12/17/elec04.prez.poll/index.html

pulled roughly from story --

Bush leads 60 percent to 37 percent (+/-4)
In polling directly before Saddam's capture, Bush was ahead of the former Vermont governor 52 percent to 44 percent.

Gen. Wesley Clark running better against the president than Dean but still behind 56 percent to 40 percent.

In a CNN/USA Today/Gallup Poll taken the week before Gore's endorsement, Dean's support stood at 25 percent among registered Democratic voters. It rose to 33 percent after Gore gave his seal of approval December 10 to the candidate. But in the polling after Saddam's capture, support for Dean had retreated to 27 percent

Lieberman and Clark ranked second behind Dean, tied at 12. The story says Clark's support is eroding, but its up from 10 to 12 since the news.

6. Ouch is right
and come Nov. 2004 you will be saying a lot more than ouch if Dean is the nominee. Of course then you will just say nobody could have beat Bush and Dean did better than any other candidate would have.

3. Woodruf reporting on CNN
That a CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll after the Saddam capture has Dean back down in the 20's. I can't find it online though. Anybody?

10. The numbers don't lie
Kerry's up 42%, Sharpton 67%, and Dean 24%.
But then again, why are we wasting our time on these meaningless surveys?

14. Fair enough points
Yeah, I agree that polls are shady. But they're fun.

Anyway would you rather have 24% of a million dollars, 67% of twenty dollars, or 42% of a thousand dollars?

15. I fear our party is damaged
Too many hard feelings and such to switch when the general election comes round.

And we need every vote we can get.
