Dean receives high praise (in Spanish) from Gov Richardson during NM visit

LAS CRUCES -- UTEP student Mike Apodaca was among the nearly 600 people who turned out to cheer Democratic Party presidential candidate Howard Dean at a rally Tuesday in Las Cruces.

New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson and U.S. Rep. Tom Udall, D-N.M., flanked Dean, who spoke to a crowd warmed by mariachi music and cheese nachos.

Udall noted Dean's accomplishments as governor of Vermont, which he said included giving health care to all of his state's residents.

"Este gobernador es uno de nosotros," said Richardson, which translates to "This governor is one of us." "He is running a clean and positive campaign."

I think Dean speaks Spanish (not "fake" Spanish like *). I saw and heard one of his ads in Spanish and he'g to the accent.
