I've read her books and used to read her regularly in Salon until she stopped writing for them. Even when I disagreed with her Bush salivating and Clinton bashing, I never felt like she was being opportunistic. I wish there was still a regular avenue in which I could read her writing. I'd be curious as to her take on current situations in the world.

Her writing was incoherent, and her views offensive (not about porn--I don't want to get into that). As a gay person, it irritates me that the only gay writers who get any type of publicity within the mainstream press are whackos--her and Andy Sullivan are the two examples I'm thinking of.

during some interview a couple of years ago. She's labeled as a "leading feminist" but everytime I hear her speak I end up scratching my head wondering what the hell she's talking about. There were so many holes in that one assertion, personally, I've relegated her to "nut job" status.
