I'll be watching Brokaw mostly, but I'll flip back and forth, somebody needs to watch Jennings and Rather.

Dean, and for some STUPID SELFISH reason, Hillary Clinton, also gave major foriegn policy speeches today. I'm betting they get alot more coverage

here's some of the speech:

Edwards Lays Out Strategy Of Prevention Not Preemption
DES MOINES, IA - Senator John Edwards Monday welcomed the capture of Saddam Hussein and said America needed a new approach to fighting the spread of weapons of mass destruction.
"It was great news for the Iraqi people, the world and the United States that Saddam Hussein was captured. But that alone is no substitute for a comprehensive strategy to deal with the world's most dangerous weapons," Edwards said. "This administration's approach to protecting America from weapons of mass destruction can be summed up simply: wait until our enemies gather strength, and then use force to stop them. We should be exercising every option we have to stop the spread of deadly weapons before war becomes our only option."

The last decade has seen rogue nations like North Korea and Iran flout international law and scramble to develop nuclear weapons. At the same time, 60 percent of Russia's nuclear material remains unsecured. That country has 20,000 nuclear warheads and enough material to produce 60,000 more Hiroshima-size bombs. "If Al Qaeda had possessed a nuclear, chemical or biological weapon on September 11th, there is no doubt in my mind they would have tried to use it," Edwards said....

1. This is really good
He focuses on weapons proliferation and that's exactly what we should be focused on. I'm really glad to hear him doing that.

4. Well, can't he give it again, in a few days or weeks???
Wouldn't it have made more sense to do that, anyway?? From now until the first of January, he is not going to get maximum coverage, or even attention of the voters. Especially after what happened yesterday in Tikrit!!!

5. They won't cover Kucinich, Mosley-Braun, and Sharpton, so it is expected..
that they will stop covering the other candidates in single-digits.

They still cover Lieberman because he bashes liberals as much as Rush does, and they primarily cover Dean and Clark because they want the race reduced to those two candidates.

Are we going to let the media tell us who our candidates ought to be?

8. The media is trying to control the Democratic primaries
by shutting some candidates, or as in the case of Edwards, giving him minimal coverage.

This is all wrong no matter who your candidate happens to be!

6. They won't. CNN barely mentioned it as a so what.
It was disgusting. They didn't cover Kerry's speech, either. I remember back in 1999 when the networks gave time for Bush's foreign policy speech, but not McCain's.

Disgusting how the media controls the Dem primary.

9. I watched the beginning of McNeil Leher
and Dean got about 30 seconds no one else anytime. The whole hour (after the summary) was to be on Bush.
