1. No one is getting money.
But if you think about it, Saddam was trapped in 6x6 foot cells with no air conditioning and limited food.

That sounds more like prison than the air conditioned, 3-meals a day, rest easy dont have to worry about being killed vacation he's on right now.

4. "rest easy dont have to worry about being killed"
If I were Saddam I'd be worried about a couple of things:
- getting killed trying to escape (not that he's trying)
- getting beaten on the soles of the feet etc (getting back what he's been giving)

I am totally against torturing him or anybody else, but considering that Bush has already been doing that to people, I have no doubt that SH would have been a lot better off putting a bullet in his own head. That's something I don't understand.

2. Ray LaHood (R-Scumbag)
here's the link http://www.pantagraph.com/stories/120203/new_20031202014.shtml

for where he said they'd be picking up Saddam soon.

Don't trust Debkafile (Mossad) but the already-prisoner-theory does explain: why he looks puffy (beating and torture), and why LaHood (French for: the Hood :o !) knew SH'd be picked up.

5. he makes an idiotic prediction in that interview
-snip-

BLOOMINGTON -- U.S. Rep. Ray LaHood held his thumb and forefinger slightly apart and said, "We're this close" to catching Saddam Hussein.

Once that's accomplished, Iraqi resistance will fall apart, said the five-term Republican congressman from Peoria who serves on the House Intelligence Committee.

A member of The Pantagraph editorial board -- not really expecting an answer -- asked LaHood for more details, saying, "Do you know something we don't?"

"Yes I do," replied LaHood.

there is certainly more to this than meets the eye. But, as expected with ANY PR move by the Bush Admin, it will come peppered with little lies to add "color" to the story

can't wait for that resistance to fall apart...

3. A possibilitiy
"Saddam was a prisoner" was a hot topic here at work this morning--this is being talked about, although I have my doubts about Debka as a source for news.
