Said that the "Mission Accomplished" banner on the aircraft carrier that Dubya did his "Top Gun" "End of Major Combat" speech was referring to the Navy Pilots being done with their air support tasking.

Tim Russert let that comment slide right on by.

These people are sickening.

Russert said 400+ wounded and 100+ killed since that "Mission Accomplished" speech carrier landing.

5. I think Russert eviscerated Wolfowitz today.

Wolfowitz got creamed. He kept his composure but that's about all. Wolfowitz was reduced to playing the "Saddam was a torturer" card over and over again.

At the end, I was struck by one thing. Russert and his guest normally engage in some sort of conversation off-mike as the show fades to a commercial. Not this time. Wolfowitz shuffled papers, and Russert just looked down at his desk. Not a word. No eye contact.
