No Connection Between Cheney and Haliburton Anymore? Then Why....
Why is he still drawing a salary much greater than his V.P. salary?

Two months ago, Cheney stated in an interview that he had no monetary ties to Haliburton. An investigation by independent sources revealed that he was still drawing a substantial salary. When confronted with this, a spokesman for Cheney stated that the salary was being placed in escrow.

Splitting hairs?

2. Regardless of whether the money is in escrow,...
...blind trust, or anything else, if the crook has an opportunity to access the money in the future, he is tainted and has ties.

Why the media can't grasp this is beyond me.

11. His first set of options don't kick in 'til 2005
so he says if he can't cash 'em, they don't count.

on CSPAN this morning, from an article in the New York Times. But, will it get much coverage? No.

doing whatever you want vis-a-vis money is ok
doing whatever you want vis-a-vis sex is not.

We live in a sick society.

10. Cheney's name will be forever linked.....................
to Halliburton......it doesn't matter what he does or says, the American people will see through any smokescreen the neo-cons throw up. Even my mother sees through it for gawd sakes, and she's been a Republican all of her life. I DO have her convinced not to vote for Bush in 2004 though! Chalk up one more for the good guys!

12. And let's not forget what he was doing in 1998 as head of Halliburton-
Edited on Sat Dec-13-03 04:02 PM by Old and In the Way
He was tading with our arch-enemy, Saddam Hussein! Yes, way back in 1998, Cheney had no problem washing $24MM in ill-gotten Iraqi profits thru Halliburton European subsidies in contravention of the US embargo.

So why isn't he arrested and being tried for treason?
