This is an excellent program of former ambassador Joe Wilson speaking at UCSB. The program was taped on 5/21/21, before the "Iraqgate" story hit big. He has many "strangely prophetic" statements, and is an extremely eloquent speaker. I caught the tail end of the program this morning but I'm going to watch the rebroadcast tonight.

5. That was great!

I'm on dial-up, and didn't know I could do this so easily. I am so glad to have caught this. The speech was on 5-21-03, and it's interesting how much he got right even then.

I was especially chilled by his comments about the Blue Team who are pushing for a sooner rather than later war with China. I knew this view was being pushed (and think they were behind the handling of the spyplane incident early in 01), but I didn't know they were called the Blue Team. Time to google.

It was great listening to a sensible and intelligent man speak facts regarding the lead up and execution of the invasion.

It now makes more sense as to why Wilson and his wife are being smeared. He is speaking truth and that is not allowed under * and his enablers.

I agree w/him in his thoughts on why the slaughter voting Dems voted the way they did - they were afraid of being labeled as soft on defense.

Now they should be afraid of losing votes and rightly so.

I was most impressed with the way Joe Wilson spoke in a very clear and logical manner. His points were very easy to assimilate. I have to admit that it is refreshing to listen to someone with a clear command of the english language. I think what was most impressive of all was that he made his case without any jingoism, although he still managed to inject bit of humor here and there, i.e, the French as surrender monkeys, and my personal favorite line, "the hottest fires of hell are reserved for Richard Perle." What a hoot!
