Poll question: Do you wish Fox News...
DU is starting to sound like Fox news, which is beginning to make me wonder: Do we hate Fox because it isn't objective, or do we hate Fox because it's biased against us? There IS a distinction. Seems minor on the surface, but it's pretty major, IMO.

Try to be fair and balanced with yourself. We love to spin here as much as the other team, don't we?

1. I don't want a liberal version of Fox News. I want accuracy.
Edited on Sat Dec-13-03 02:00 AM by Eric J in MN
Fox News interviewed a psychologist to prove that Hillary Clinon knew all along that Monica Lewinsky was telling the truth, and lied in her book when she said she didn't believe Monica at first.

Fox News also interviewed a psychologist to prove that Private Jessica Lynch was tortured by the Iraquis and suppressed it.

I don't want a liberal tv or radio station which uses equally dubious techniques.

While Michael Moore is far better than Fox News, it bothers me that he isn't always as careful with the facts as he should be (for example, he described Russ Feingold on his website as the only person to vote against the Patriot Act, when he was the only Senator to vote against it and Kucinich voted against it in the House.)

6. notice they STUDIOUSLY avoid Iraq talk? they will lead with
"Where's Dru?" or Michael Jackson or blow into a big item ANYTHING having to do with potential leads in war on terror rather than cover real news of bombings in Iraq or the dreadful lack of progress there?

The way they were so Gung ho before and during opening states of war and are now so willing to bury their heads says all you need to know.

I thought it was even funny they are trying to give Colmes more of a chance to take the lead on questioning since things aren't going too well for the conservative straw man arguments about how best to be an American and how best to get along with the world community.

8. Had competitors.
Right now Fox News is the only Republican news channel. They wouldn't be "America's most watched" if there were other Republican-biased channels. CNN would be back in the driver's seat.
