Iraq is now on page four of my hometown paper.
They are gonna bury this story as much as possible. Today the Halliburton 61 MILLION DOLLAR story was on page four. No front page headline. What is a good democrat to freakin' do?

Page 4 or page 1, it makes no difference. You think I suppose that the war is a negative for Bush and the GOP. That is wrong. War is a political winner. It is the number one political winner in every circumstance.

Let me tell you a story. In 68 Nixon won by a whisker. Over the next four years 24K Americans were killed there. Then Nixon won in a landslide of monumental proportions.

End of story.

Well not quite. Nixon quit the war after the election, on the very same terms that were available to him the day he took office in 69. From that moment on his poltical career nosedived. Coincidence? I say no.

Permanent war is the final GOP card for permanent dominance, and they know it. That I am sorry to say is democracy in action.
