Letter to local right-wing columnist.

Suzanne Fields of the Washington Times compared * to Abraham Lincoln in her column of Thursday, December 11. I couldn't help it, I snapped.

Ms. Fields,
Oh my dear God in Heaven. It has finally happened. George W. Bush and Abraham Lincoln have been mentioned in the same column. You seem to imply that Bush has demonstrated some degree of moral courage during his undeclared war on the Iraqi citizenry. What he has actually displayed is the blind certitude peculiar to zealots and cretins. The deeper I waded into your column, the nearer my jaw approached my chest. The indisputable fact is, Abraham Lincoln was possessed of more moral AND physical courage than president Bunnypants has in his entire worthless body.
I might have remained permanently stupefied, but fortunately I remembered that I was (1) reading a column in the Washington Times, and (2) said column was authored by a woman who literally required a change of undergarments and a cold shower after the Bush flight suit stunt.
