Jimmy Carter is one of the most mean spirited people in politics ever
This is what, as close as I can remember, Bob Novak said on Crossfire today when he referenced Carter's comment about Sen. Miller.

Outrageously stupid.

They're not real fond of Clark either, btw. I won't post the links, since I don't want to be seen as attacking one of our candidates when I am not.

Carter's not perfect, but he doesn't deserve an attack like that. And neither would Clark.

36. Interesting article
First Mother Theresa, now Jimmy Carter.

I was over in Tenessee (or was it Kentucky?) where you had these two bordering counties. One had a liquor ban, the other had a fire-arm ban. On the county border, there were lockers that were stocked with either guns or bottles.

Is there a locker outside DC where people drop off their conscience before they enter?

9. Too Good
My mother, a lifelong New Yorker, died in 1983. Until then, she would shake her head whenever Jimmy Carter's name came up and say, "He was too good for that dirty job." On the other hand, she held a grudge against FDR, also for the rest of her life, for "sending our boys to fight on foreign shores."

If that had been a Dem, hoo boy, we'd have never heard the end of it, and they would have been immediately thrown in jail. And he has some gall calling ANYONE else mean-spirited, when he outed an undercover CIA agent purely for political spite.

28. I saw that, too, but what was, maybe, even MORE disgusting was.......
his slavish eulogy of that scumbag to fill all scumbags, Bob Bartley.

could you believe what he said about him: "cold warrior," "cancer crusader," or somesuch rot (even admitting that Bartley didn't do anything about cancer til he GOT it himself.....typical, egocentric, spoiled prick).

his moist-eyed slobbering over Bartley was especially bathetically ironic, when contrasted to the vile rot he spewed over Carter.

was he trying to be funny with that insanely oxymoronic juxtaposition of self-revelatory psychogargle?

or what?

"Novak again proves that he should change his name to Robert "No-Facts" with his outrageous comment about Jimmy Carter being "The most mean spirited person in politics". Were you looking in the mirror when you made that one up, Mr. No-Facts? The world wouldn't trade one Jimmy Carter for 100 of you. Indeed, you're not even fit to shine his shoes."

33. That is exactly what the socalled liberal pundits said of him in 1980.
Every time he tried to point out how extreme Ronnie was commentators would click their tongues, put on a sad face, sigh], and say that Carter was 'mean'....

And then Ronnie would simply smile and say 'there you go again', and everyone would fawn over him. The Washingon Post did this a lot, and I have never forgiven them for it. Especially the traitor Herblock!!

39. Novak truly is an idiot

The face of the medal of the Norwegian Nobel Committee shows
Alfred Nobel in a pose slightly different from that of the other medals.
The inscription is the same.

The other side of the Peace Medal represents a group of three men
forming a fraternal bond.

The inscription reads:

Pro pace et fraternitate gentium

translated "For the peace and brotherhood of men."

The name of the laureate and Parlamentum Norvegiae
(The Norwegian Parliament) are engraved on the edge of the medal.
