Al Qaeda Shmaeda! The real enemy that ChimpCo is fighting is us liberals.
We all know this intuitively - at every turn, we are public enemy #1 to the Evil War Chimp and his ghoulish henchmen. The ruling BFEE/PNAC Mob isn't the least bit concerned about any two-bit terrorists haunting some caves half way around the planet - but Karl Rove, Dick Cheney and John Ashcroft are sure as hell worried to death about clusters of well informed, politically astute progressives (the prototype DU member) who have been paying attention and documenting their unprecendented assault and dismemberment on the entire U.S. political system, and the massive, gansgter-like transfer of wealth that's been transpiring right under the sleeping American public's desensitized noses - "dangerous" liberal "dissidents" who by sheer will may somehow ressurect this crumbling democracy just enough to block or undermine the military industrial complex/fossil fuel pusher neocon designs for a global empire of unparalleled scale. This is the "war" these people are truly fighting - with the Rush Limbaughs and Sean Hannitys and DIEbold and Howard Finemans and Tim Russerts and Ann Coulters and Pat Robertsons and ____ (your favorite corporate media whore) as their foot soldiers.

And I think what's starting to scare the shit out of many of them, is that they've got they're own intuitive feeling that ChimpCo has really gone way too far - too many are on to them - and they're going to lose this fight - bigtime - taking the whole damn conservative movement down with them - much, much worse than Richard Nixon did.

1. Well...
Seeing that "Al Qaeda" was trained by the CIA, funded by the Bush-allied House of Saad, and every terrorist attack they initiate seems designed to further increase the power of the Hard Right...

2. One thing is becoming quite clear to me
If they do indeed go down they plan on taking us down with them. I have begun to wonder if there is a winning solution for us. Still, we plod on looking in every corner for what resembles the old system. We can prevail but I wonder what their plans are if we do.

5. Agreed, MuseRider...it is what the (un)PATRIOT Act is for
and all those new "anti-terrorism" weapons the whores love to push on Corporate TV Pravda but which are USELESS against al-Qaeda.

But very useful against "citizens assembling to petition their government for redress of grievences".

Abd of course, those values of the Founding Fathers are the very things the Imperial Busheviks, so alike the British Royalty of the 1770s, loathe.

4. Operation Enduring Freedom
The Right have been enduring our freedom for far too long, and they're sick of it.

6. Agreed RB
"The illusion of freedom will continue as long as it's profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will just take down the scenery, they will pull back the curtains, they will move the tables and chairs out of the way and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theater."
--Frank Zappa

Wow, it's like Frank saw the Busheviks in a crystal ball or something.

What would he be doing if he were alive today, I wonder?

8. Wow! That Zappa quote blows me away! Cyrstal ball indeed!
Would love to hear Zappa and Lennon telling it like it is regarding the Bushevik Reign of Terror!

11. During his Nuremburg trial Hermann Goering said
“The people can always be brought to obey the orders of their leaders. All the leaders need to do is tell the people they are under attack, denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and put the country under alert.”

Since the 9/11 coup, this is exactly what's happening today. A congress that is paralyzed, and except for a few, simply rolls over and plays dead--and a public who continues to be terrorized by the Bush junta or who are just plain asleep at the switch.

7. Very well put, Ham!
They are sooooo sick of us - and they have very little confidence that they can beat us fair and square. They really feel the need to control EVERYTHING in order to have their way. They are about the LEAST qualified group to be peddling "freedom and democracy" around the world that I can think of!

12. You got that right, ElementaryPenguin!
I just push the date farther back. The BFEE went public November 22, 1963.
