GOP Total Meltdown has Begun!
Let's just say that epople are not cottoning well to the news of Cheney's company screwing the taxpayers out of tens of millions in overcharged gas.

Yahoo Message board is in total meltdown with Bush supporting Christians calling to kill all liberals.

There was one post "I miss Bill Clinton" that got about 21 recommendations in about 5 seconds.

THe grass roots are getting so strong, the paid propagandists can;t even keep up anymore.

I think the Bush Administration is REALLY LOSING IT THIS TIME!

Let's recommend this post so that the liberals fear for their lives and shut up! Clinton lied and yet they would question George W. Bush? GOD DO I HATE LIBERALS!!!!!!!

After george W. Bush completes his second term, Jeb Bush will be president and then, Neil, Noel, etc. It's over for liberals. Tough times ahead in America for liberals!
If by chance you should win, real Americans will fight you in the streets and defeat you. GOD BLESS GEORGE W. BUSH!!!

God bless
President George W. Bush!!!! This greatest of ALL
great men has done so much for
our country that his likeness should be on all money
and stamps. This is both a way to honor this most
remarakble man and send a strong message to the rest
of the world that we support America!
Join us today!http://www.heartlight.org/fast/
Answer a call to personally fast once a month for
President Bush.

http://www.fastforbush.com
God is raising up multitudes of Christians (regardless
of political affiliation) to fast and pray for the
holiness of my presidency, our nation and our American
military might.
Join us in God's grassroots movement.
— George W. Bush
"Ours is a religious nation. People can be good even
if they don't go to church, and I'm not saying that we
all need to be Christians although we are a Christian
nation, just that religion is important to a strong
country and religion is what's made our nation so
great. This is why we are working on enacting
legislation so that religion can be part of our daily
lives. Religion needs to play an important part in our
public and private lives." -George W. Bush, Republican
Prayer Breakfast, 2/4/2002
May God's name be lifted up
during this Presidency,
and may there be
thousands fasting daily.

15. Those Yahoo message boards are an abyss
of negativity and a flame-thrower's paradise. I used to drop in just for laughs, but it generally ends up disgusting me.

3. Nonsense
"GOP Total Meltdown has Begun!"

I read something like this every week and at some point people are going to have to face the fact that the GOP is not going to meltdown and Bush is not "done" or "toast".

"Let's just say that epople are not cottoning well to the news of Cheney's company screwing the taxpayers out of tens of millions in overcharged gas."

Will be forgotten about in a week (if not less).

"I think the Bush Administration is REALLY LOSING IT THIS TIME!"

Politics doesn't work this way. I see no indication that the Bush administration is in some irreversable downward spiral. In fact, I'd say the odds are still against us ejecting Junior from the White House.

20. I thought of Bob Arnot too...
like when Dr. Bob is out there on the TV showing how well "Operation Iraqi Freedom" is going, Rove is getting the message out that Dean is a sure loser. Maybe both will be revealed to be desperate bluster in the face of certain defeat. We'll see...

18. I agree, too
That Halliburton story is on the front page of yahoo, but it will be ignored/forgotten like the Plame story and every other scandal. I'd like to be wrong, but I'm having a hard time being optimistic right now.

23. Just based on anecdotal...
... evidence of real people all over the place, I couldn't disagree with you more.

I know many, many long time conservative Republicans who rue the day they voted for Bush*. I don't care what the spin-polls say, the people of this country, even Reps, know this guy is a freaking tool.

They may spout the party line, but they will vote their pocketbook next fall. And even a Clinton recovery isn't going to be enough.

28. Amen
I lived in a world of wishful thinking and got screwed over time and again. Not any longer. Not with this regime.

This cabal has weapons at its disposal we haven't yet to see and they're totally focused on the absolute control of power and money. They don't care what the papers say or the chattering class...since they can be so easily manipulated and only deal with primordial or visceral issues, never anything of substance.

RoveCo. has had 4 years to prepare for this show...and they're going for the kill. First, this is "justification" and "vindication" for bunnypants...then there's the religious crusade, the patriot game and so on. Rove knows his base and how to play them.

Don't be naive, currently we don't have anyone on the national scene with the saavy, guts and cunning of a Rove and an entrenched and highly functioning spin/propoganda machine. Just look at how quickly the "debate" changes from the Gore endorsement to Gore/Clinton war to divide Democrats (and it worked just fine here).

This election isn't hopeless...if anything if there is a true grassroots building (which I sense is just starting to), the situations we face will dictate how people vote and react, no rhetoric or spin doctor will. All we have to do is when we hear this discontent, bring it out and show the person whose mad where to direct their anger. It works one person at a time. I'm seeing it with many of my moderate GOOP associates who now will bash this regime to me (knowing my openly Progressive opinions) where they were all flag waiving 6 months ago. Let's see where things are in another 6 months.

I hope they've seen the light, that Gw and his PNAC pals are wallowing in it.

12. I've read that even though they may be mad at Bush they will still vote
for him because he was picked by God.

I am not so sure that anything this administration does wrong will help us very much.

Like in 2002 if we don't have a better plan there won't be any reason to vore for us. We can't count on bashing Bush to win.

13. Hunters in western PA are ticked off at Cheney
for his little "hunting" expedition on Monday.
Killing about 90 or so pheasants that had been released for his own personal sport.

Cheney probably thought he was going on a peasant hunt, not a pheasant hunt. Anything to get rid of the world's poor.

26. My dad use to belong to a hunt club
Edited on Fri Dec-12-03 01:11 PM by Mountainman
They called themselves outdoorsmen and conservationists yet they hunted in an enclosed area and shot birds that were raised in captivity. I could not understand that. My dad forced me to clean the kill he brought home to "make me a man." I hated it and would not eat anything he killed.

I love animals (though it's hard to like the cows that roam free here) and can't see the need to hunt them for sport let alone kill them in enclosed areas. Put a camera on your site and say, "just look at the buck I could have killed."

he's not doing the GOP a lot of good by sucking as bad as he does.

I have the feeling he'll do for the national GOP what George Ryan did to the Illinois GOP.
