Dean within striking distance of Bush in Florida ( Clark too)
Howard Dean is within striking distance of George W. Bush in Florida which has 27 key electoral votes.

Bush currently leads the ex-Vermont Governor 49-41 percent. (according to poll archives at this time in 1999 Gore was running nearly 20-points behind Bush).

Wes Clark is also poised to jump on Bush behind by a similar 8-point margin of 48-40.

Bush leads Kerry 51-38
Bush leads Gep by 50-39
Bush leads Edwards 53-35.

The key issues according to Florida voters:
Protecting Social Security and Medicare 36%
The situation in Iraq 34%
Improving education 24%
Increase access to Affordable Healthcare 23%

If Florida is looking doable in '04 I think Bob Graham would be a great choice for vice president.

a 27 point deficit in New Hampshire is pathetic.

5. pathetic
considering your up against a sitting president in a state represented as governor by his brother and you got him under 50% and are within 8-points that is pretty impressive.

By the way, who are you supporting? and how are they doing in Florida against Bush?

6. Before it's requested, here's a link

It's also important to note that Bush only narrowly defeats a generic Dem.

11. And we must reach
out to the "some other candidate" and the "don't know" voters with strong, viable opposition to shrubby
