1. I read this!
I am on the mailing list and it was sent to me earlier this week.

What a gross miscarriage of justice the Peltier case is.

I hope Janklow rots in prison.

2. As you sow, so shall you reap
"In this world of religious flag waving you hear it said "you reap what you sow," "everything that goes around comes around," and "there's karma to pay," etc. If any of this is true, America has a terrible day of reckoning coming for it's mistreatment of my people and the earth. I truly believe and know if this country falls apart, and it will, economically, technologically, governmentally, and worst of all, environmentally. "

To extend this Old Testament analogy, I would add that America has a terrible day of reckoning for its conquest of Iraq, Chile, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Iran, half of Mexico, a failed coup in Venezuela, and an ongoing aggression against Cuba.

Americans have no idea what an aggressive country we are. They are blind to the real stories. Then they ask "why do they hate us?"---
---
I did not realize Janklow was AG during Peltier's case

6. EVERY AMERICAN should read
Peter Matthieson's "In the Spirit of Crazy Horse", which is an excellent account of this whole issue, and also delves into the history of the Sioux in past and modern South Dakota and neighboring states, and socioeconomic issues as well. I never was able to look at our annual family vacations in the Black Hills of South Dakota again after reading it, and I still don't even now, when I go there.
